Subject: Last Call for FK Stuff Clearance Blowout ;-) Earlier this month I mentioned that due to space constraints I'm giving up part of my voluminous FK collection and keeping just the things that are most important to me. I do still have a number of things available (quite a few VHS tapes with FK related things on them, as well as various other items). If anyone else would like a copy of the items list before I end up having to dispose of these items, please email me OFF LIST and I'll send it to you. VHS tapes in accordance with tradition are being offered for cost of tape plus postage, and I am accepting modest offers (DON'T bid high, remember I'm a fan, not a dealer) for the other items. Thanks! The characters are exactly like our favorite quartet (granted, the background and physical description are different). The main male character, Nick (and I'm *not* making that up) Vickers, is exactly like our Nicky boy. The vampire side is exactly the same, including the guilty conscience. The vampire who made this Nick into a vampire is exactly like our dear old Uncle (but this guy's orginal name is Ali). He thrives on power and control, just like our own master vampire. Now, this Nick was already a vampire when he met a woman named (and again, I'm *not* making this up) Janette, and she had died at Ali's hand to torment this Nick. Now the shocker, the mortal that this Nick falls in love with (okay, I give it up, it is a romantic suspense novel) is named Emma Birmingham. She is much like our favor coroner, it isn't funny! If you want to read the book, go ahead and knock yourselves out! The name is (and how is this for coincidence?) "The Secret Night" by Rebbecca York. After I read about half the book, it finally dawned on me that she might be an FK Fan!!! <smack forehead for being so dense> Cassie ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 Apr 2006 15:21:53 -0500 From: eowyn23@j....... Subject: An FK Moment Hi Y'all! I normally lurk around here (except for birthday announcements) but this was good. My science fiction club runs 2 booths at the "Healthy Families Children's Fair" which was held last Sunday. We take in tickets and the kids get their faces painted or play "Smack the Martian". When we counted up the tickets for both booths at the end of the day, the total was 1228! I started giggling. The group knows that I am obses...er, passionate about FK but they were all busy taking down tents and tables and generally cleaning up. One lady who just recently joined our group noticed my excitement and was able to appreciate the significance of the number after I explained why I was dancing up and down. <G> Terri eowyn23@j.......
