ANNOUNCING the largest and most comprehensive archive of quality Forever Knight screen shots on the Net. Taken from the professional DVD sets, the archive includes 12,800 captures from the first two seasons. (Please note that the Season 3 archive is the same as the old Season 3. It will be updated if and when the final season comes out on DVD. For now, Seasons 1 and 2 are updated and complete.) I would like to publicly thank Greer Watson for her input to the archives. During the capture process, she culled through her tapes to make suggestions for "don't miss" shots. Thanks to her efforts, I have many "nuance" pictures I may have otherwise overlooked. Since the release of the show on DVD, I've been working to update my previous archive. It has been a long process, done in my spare time, and while waiting for each new season to be released. At long last, I can finally share this labor of love with my fellow fans. ~~~~~~~~~~ I don't know how many of you remember me, but I've been in the fandom and a member of this list for ten years now. Early on, I created a web page devoted to Forever Knight, and through much effort and the help of friends, managed to put up an archive of screen captures from all the episodes. That archive, while having small pictures of fair-to-poor quality, has been immensely popular, to go by the feedback I've received. My new archive should contain most, if not all, of the same pictures with many more besides; all of them clearer and larger than before. Of interest: Each episode will have a larger number of screen captures, showing the episode in a story board format. That means there will be a number of "throwaway" shots, or shots that may seem repetitive, but are there to help tell the story. This archive will be a place for someone to go who doesn't have access to the DVDs or tapes of the series and wants to "see" the episodes. There are lots of pictures of our favorite characters, of course, including all the classic shots we've come to know and love, including flashbacks and vamped shots. I also have included extensive shots of guest characters, including the guest vamps (Aristotle, Feliks Twist, Divia, et al), sets, and props. For those still writing FK fanfic, this updated archive should be a treasure trove of information. Do you need to know what, exactly, was on Natalie's computer screen? Have you needed a description of objects in Nick's loft? All that, and more, in a redesigned, updated web site. Have a look (note the new URL, please, and change your bookmarks accordingly. If you have a link to the archive on your web page, please change it to this): http://www.knightwatchman.net If you find any links that don't work properly, please let me know. I've uploaded over 25,000 items in the past three days. I may have missed one or two. <G> As I am only on FORKNI-L, Knighties, and my own NNFic, please feel free to forward this announcement if you think your list might be interested. It's quick-loading, easy to use, and above all, the screencaps are wonderful! Thanks ever so for taking the time to put this together. I just hope we get the third season DVDs so that I can complete the project! Nat ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Nancy A. Wow, what an amazing site. Its so easy to use, you don't have to wade through 20 useless screens to find what you are looking for. Its so straightforward, and so fast coming up. There are some sites that feel like you are on dialup just waiting for the Page headers to load. And I would also like to comment on the wonderful diversity of the screencaps. Usually you only find Nick and Jeanette and a little Natalie on 90% of the caps. Nice variety, showing other characters as well. A truly comprehensive amount of work. Bravo. --- NAT <nat1228@c.......> wrote: > ANNOUNCING the largest and most comprehensive > archive of quality > Forever Knight screen shots on the Net. I've always believed in simplicity of design on my webpages. There are some beautiful sites out there that takes *ages* to load, thanks to their graphic-heavy headers and backgrounds. I'm really pleased at the response so far. This was a labor of love that took, literally, years to get up and running, but I think (I hope, anyway) that the wait was worth it. ><snip>Nice variety, showing other >characters as well. A truly comprehensive amount of >work. Bravo. That was my intent. I'm a Knightie and a N&NPacker, so of course, I like lots of captures of Nick and Nat. But there were other characters as well. We can't forget Schanke, and the Captains (Tracy, Vachon, Screed and more will have better coverage when we get the Season 3 DVDs). Plus, there were the guest vamps that almost never get covered, but get asked for a lot, etc. I really meant and hoped for this to be a *resource* site for folks. There's a huge variety of shots -- many of the characters, but also of the sets and props as well. So wade in and enjoy! :-D Nat ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Nancy A.
