I'm reading one of my history lists about linen thread and it's fineness and in between some messages from today from this list. Right in the middle of some FK discussion was this: "According to my Danish bobbin lace books, the best flax available in 18th century was from the land at Brabant in Belgium." Made me wonder if Nick's family grew flax... McLisa mentioned it onlist a week or so ago. He worked on the show (as well as Kung Fu and Le Femme Nikita) and thinks these items will be better off in the hands of the fans. He is even selling one of the caddies. -Amanda "This thing... man... whatever it is...evil may have created it, left its mark on it, but evil does not rule it. Oh, yeah! I'd forgotten about that - WHAT a list! If the original poster was talking about DVDs or videos of the entire 3rd season, that most likely isn't his. However, he had some really neat stuff. He worked on the show. --Libby ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 12 Mar 2006 21:13:31 -0600 From: Nancy Kaminski <nancykam@c.......> Subject: Re: Item on ebay > Amanda Berendt > There is someone who is offering a LOT of stuff from FK - > all legit. The someone is Brock Joliffe, the special effects coordinator for FK and other shows. When LCA was held in Toronto, Brock always showed up to demonstrate some sort of effect, be it flash papers (a lot of fun was had with that) or breakaway wine bottles (one of which was broken over Nigel's head). At one of the LCAs he brought the Caddy (the "hero car", the one that was in closeups and which Ger drove). This is the Caddy that is now for sale.
