Thomas Wolfe not withstanding, it is possible.
Especially if you've never really left.

I wanted to share the following that I just posted to
my Live Journal.:

I've finally gotten around to watching my first season
Forever Knight DVDs. I've watched most of the first
disc, through Last Act, so far. Seeing the show again
is bringing up mixed reactions; from fond nostalgia
and enjoyment to "Oh my God, this was kinda cornball!"
and "Damn, Michael McManus was wooden long before he
played Kai." ;-) So far I haven't seen LaCroix, even
in flashbacks, since his fiery supposed demise at the
end of Dark Knight part two. Seeing more of Nigel
Bennett will definitely perk things up for me. I
especially look forward to viewing my season two DVDs
when LaCroix makes his return to "present day" scenes.

I am still in the fandom after all this time (since
1998) not because this was the greatest show ever
made, but because the characters, story and actors
still speak to me. And to a great degree because of
the people on the e-mail lists. Leaving the FK lists
would be like turning my back on family. FK was my
first fandom, and the most civil one I have ever
encountered, thanks in large part to some terrific
list-minders. The people involved in making Forever
Knight were pretty terrific also, doing some damned
fine charity work to this day. I haven't made it to a
Lights, Camera, Auction! charity event yet, but they
still seem to be going strong, so I live in hope. :-)

It is really great.
Listen to Track #8 - Palestinalied. It is dated as 1228!!
(According to the liner notes)
It is a very pretty piece.

Well, almost the whole Lexx-cast is going there as well, including Michael
McManus.
Perhaps they should ask Nigel to join the Conv as well... ;-)

Heh. I'm not sure if Natalie would *want* more

This showed up as the "Word for the Day" when I signed in at work today:

<<consanguineous: related by blood; descended from the same ancestor.>>

Guess in the FK world, that's taken pretty doggone literally. <G>
