Hey guys,

I need your help with the name and author as well as location of a story.
The plot of it goes something like this: Nick is away on holiday (I think.) and
Nat witnesses a child hit by a car. I think the kid's father was driving, but
I'm not sure. Anyway, Nat withdraws so deeply into herself, that Nick has
trouble reaching her when he returns a few days later. That much I can remember of
the story. So if anyone knows which one I'm talking about, please let me know.

  Cassie

PRINCETON, Minn. - A self-proclaimed vampire is
running for governor of Minnesota.

Jonathon "The Impaler" Sharkey declared his candidacy
on Friday. Sharkey said he is a satanic dark priest,
and that he's running under the banner of the
Vampires, Witches and Pagans Party.

And yes, he said he does drink blood, but only the
blood of his pagan wife, who also happens to be a
witch.

Sharkey has a 13-point platform that includes the
impaling of violent criminals on the lawn of the State
Capitol.

He said those who share his religious beliefs are
misunderstood.

"The common misconception is ... that they are 100
percent evil, that they do not have any caring in them
(and) that they kind of prowl the night seeking their
meals, and that's not true," Sharkey said.

He said he thinks he has a chance with voters. "When
they see I am kind hearted, and (I) care for them, I
think they'll overlook my personal and religious
beliefs," he said.

Although some in Sharkey's adopted hometown of
Princeton, Minn., view his candidacy as a publicity
stunt, Sharkey insists that he wants to be taken
seriously.

Yup, he's ours, and we ain't tradin' him! <G>

Minnesota has a long tradition of, um, interesting gubernatorial candidates.
Heck, we elected Jesse "The Body" Ventura not all that long ago!

One of the local newspapers' columnists wrote that he is withholding
judgement on Mr. Sharkey and his platform until he finds out where he stands
on a new stadium for the Vikings. Hey, we know what's important. However, if
Mr. Sharkey suddenly disappears we'll know it's because the Enforcers got
tired of him perpetrating those old vampire stereotypes, such as his habit
of walking around in a rather dramatic black silk opera cape. How gauche!

You have said enough by telling us he's home with the people that truly love
him. That's what is important. Now, watch and pray.

I suspect he'll be taken care of in short order. *snicker*

If you love something...let it go. If it doesn't return...hunt it down, and
kill it.

Subject: Broadview Lofts (Nick's Loft film site)

I'm pleased to report that the water tower has been returned to the
building that was used as the exterior of Nick's loft, now the Broadview
Lofts condominium. Howvever, instead of placing in its original
position in the northeast corner of the roof, it is now at the south end
of the (extended) east wing. The tower seems to have been cleaned and
given a coat of paint as it is no longer a rusted steel colour, but a
darker gunmetal shade.

I have added PRAYER in the Header due to some of my content; don't want to
break the rules!

When I read this part to MY fiance (at least I am spelling it *correctly*
this time, he is a MAN, LOL), he said: "That sounds good.........." LOL.

What a ~~fabulous~~ post, how I needed to read it, __thank you__; I have
immortalized it for all time on my hard drive...... <g>

Little(ish) note to the Listfamilies now having answered ALL responses (WOW,
I am so astounded and overwhelmed again.....). I don't recall if KOC or
FKFansHug existed then (can anybody tell me?). I recall when my/our cat D'Jah
first:

Disappeared, then, became ill, then, was dying, then died. I have mentioned
this before in a discussion about "Listfamilies" when "prayer" became a hot
topic, and, I believe right before "PRAYER" became a topic of its own. The
support I received was incredible. I STILL HAVE every email, e-card, photo,
etc.
I had saved them all to hard drive, but I printed them all and have the most
beautiful album thanks to these Listfamilies. Thank Heavens I did that,
because all that I saved was lost when this very same computer crashed and I
lost
*everything* about a year ago. I was able to recover almost everything when I
restored my computer, but an AOL <grrrrr> tech instructed me incorrectly, and
I "recovered" the wrong Personal Filing Cabinet. Thanks to you all, I have
the most incredible memories of D'Jah and of all who were pulling for
him..........; what a fantastic group of people you are!

It is indeed my intention to print every response, card, etc. I have received
once again, and will continue to do so. They are already on my hard drive,
and I am Backing Them UP this time!

Thank you; and thank you for this fantastic post/thread, it has made my
morning <g>.

I read the second line as this:

>percent evil, that they do not have any catering in them

Oh no! Not only are they evil bloodsucking creatures of the night but they
can't even COOK!

<g>

Lor
