When I'm writing stories, I go to the Episode Guide
for most spelling/character/actor questions.

http://www.loftworks.com/FK/Episodes/episode_guide.html

(The only character I had to really learn how to spell
was Syndney Lambert, and I bought an auction copy of
the script for "Only the Lonely" which is where I
learned the correct spelling ;)

Subject: www.fkfanfic.com down temporarily again...

Just a heads up, yes, I know the website is down again and apologize.

My web hosting company that I have been using for 8+ years went under and I
am now in the process of finding a new web hosting provider. The advantage
nowadays is that hosting a site of 100+ megabytes such as the archive is no
longer a major issue like it use to be in the early days. Right now, I am
looking for a site that will provide not just html hosting, but a variety
options for expanding the functionality of the website so that we can
hopefully one day bring it more up to date again. I'd like to add some
forums and other features to allow more people to assist in the maintenance
and updating of the site, if people are interested in helping.

What happened with me, was a combination of RL issues, a change of interests
(I am busy with MMPORGs now, specifically WoW), and then my PC hard drive
crashed losing my latest version of the story database. I still read the
lists here and there, but as always, for an emergency contact you can always
ask Stephanie Babbitt, in case I'm not checking this email as often.

I do have the website backed up and will get it re-hosted hopefully within
another week or so.

In the meantime, if you would like stories archived, do continue to add the
request in the story postings to FKFIC-L. If someone wants to put these
stories together into one document or the author wishes to, hold on to them
until I get a system set up to begin archiving again (probably a new email
address). If you'd like to volunteer to me recover the story database and
update it with missing content and have a copy of Excel and can handle alot
of email content, let me know too. If you're a real web geek that knows
PHP/mySQL and would like to design a better website/archival/database
system, also let me know. I may be looking for volunteers to help out with
things once I get re-hosted.

Feel free to forward/post this message on other lists, if desired.

Thanks,
Mel Moser
