That was "Unnatural Selection," a fanzine I did back in the 90s to help KtK pay
for ads in the trade papers. I have a text version archived on my website
http://www.geocities.com/~br1035/fk/forever.html and I'm pretty sure it's also
on the FTP site. I regret that, over the years, I've managed to lose any copy
of the artwork that was included.

Do you have any idea what your subject line did? I pictured a cow
with fangs.... (sad, very sad - heading for bed now...)

That's okay, I went one better.... I was imagining the cows with fangs too,
but one had a lovely long trench coat and curls, one had long dark hair and
elegant dresses, and.... I'll stop now.

I'm going to bed, really!

Wouldn't that be the perfect time for someone with the funds and the

So Mel wouldn't have to worry about it anymore and we could keep that
great site.

We take a lot of collection for KtK. How about we run an auction every now
and then thru KtK to support the fic site. This way no one person would be
burden with the cost and maintenance of the site and it would belong to all
of us.

I'll even donate a few of my shirts to start with.

Any opinions on this suggestion?

Just a couple of points here. First, at the end of the day it's Mel's site,
not ours, so we can't just take it over without her permission. And second,
is anyone on the list still in touch/able to get in touch with Mel -
especially if her ISP is going down the Swanee....

If anyone has seen the movie "The Littlest Vampire", which they have been
showing on Disney for October/Halloween, they actually have Vampire
Holsteins in this movie. Much to the poor farmer's dismay.
I immediately thought of Nick when I saw them, and reminded myself to be
sure not to travel that stretch of farmland between Acton and Stratford,
Ontario after dark.

I don't believe anyone was talking about taking fkfanfic.com away from
Mel. With real life the way it is we all know that she has been unable
to keep the site up, although she does keep the site going so it isn't
lost. And since she owns the domain name until October 2007 no one can
buy it anyway. I don't know if she is still a member of this list or
not, but someone who might still know her email address can contact her
and see what her wishes are. This might be the only ties to FK she has
and wants to keep so she doesn't lose all contact with the fandom until
wants to or feels she has the resources to resume archiving.

http://www.fkfanfic.com is a good original FK site that we don't want to
lose but stories can be saved elsewhere. Don't forget
http://fkfanfic2.com . The owners try very hard to keep that up to date
and writers can send their stories there.

Survivors (1998 - 2000) by Bonnie Rutledge mentions those events, but
that may just be a reference to an earlier story.

Anyway, Survivors is available at:
	http://www.geocities.com/~br1035/fk/forever.html

Good luck!
