Subject: Hurricane Rita

Hey Everyone,

I'm just letting you know that because of the impending hurricane in the Gulf
of Mexico, I will be evacuating the for the next few days.  As of this moment,
the last I heard it was a category four hurricane and it is predicted to reach a
category five within the next 24 hours.  Rita is expected to hit landfall on
Sat. at 1am Central time.  For those of you who I am role playing with, please
don't panic if you do not hear from me over the weekend.  I will post throughout
the night, but tomorrow I will head inland and away from Rita.

Speaking of evacuations, if any of you end up in Central Arkansas (or might),
e-mail me and I'll give you my contact information. I can't offer crash space at
this time, but know of lots of help to be found in the area and would love to
meet up with you. I'll be gone Friday until late Sunday night (FenCon in Dallas
which is likely to be very ... windy).

Here's hoping a miracle happens and all (FK fans or not) are spared Rita's
Wrath.

It might be a good idea if an evacuee knows someone on the list to exchange
contact info so we can rest easily that you are safe.
