My daughter went down there on a dig a few years ago.  All I could think
of was making sure I didn't ask her if she ran into Nick while she was
there.  She thinks I'm crazy enough!  <gr>  She brought back a lot of
pictures and video, but alas, no one looked remotely like Nick.

Hi-
   I hope I am doing this right with the subject line and all.  I received this
note from one of my best friends today whose 58-year old mother is being
treated for ovarian cancer.

For all those who are non-medical, CA-125 doubling is a bad sign.  If you could
all remember her mother in your prayers, I feel every little bit helps.

Subject: Anyone know where Laurie Salopek is?

Laurie Salopek was the listowner of Forkni-l for some years, until she moved to
New Orleans. Is anyone still in contact with her? I'm worried about her and
anyone else from FK fandom where Katrina hit.

If anybody knows about Laurie or any other FK fan from the area, please let us
know.
