Hi, knights!

I was thinking that I should introduce myself more than whith "hello,
here I am!"
;-)

I'm Sonja, nearly 31 now, from Bonn, Germany.
I'm working as branch manager in an organic food shop.
My other hobbies are drawing, photographing, roleplaying games, writing,
my boyfriend and my homepage. ;-)
I'm referring myself as "Dark Knightie", "Ravenette" and because of
that I'm also an
"Immortal Beloved" and fan of "The Unholy Trinity"!
I'm a member of the German yahoogroups dFK, dFK-Art and dFK-rpg, and the
Knight Vision Forums.
My Nickname "Carhith" is Sindarin, the language of the elfes, and it
means "red ashes".
It's taken from a vampire character I'm playing in a FK roleplaying game
at Kristin's Kight Vision Forums.

Any questions left?

Listening to my new James Brown CD today:

"A few beers, a little *James Brown* and you can't
keep me off the tables."

That little oomph he gives "James Brown" makes my
insides all fluttery.

Hi there and welcome to the group.
So glad to have you join us.

I'm also amazed that there are still people discovering FK. I was in a craft
shop Sat and the owered saw the FK button I always have on my handbag. He
also told me he just discovered FK and was watching the second season DVD.

Last fall, I was in my favorite Broadway gift shop in NYC (right
under the Marriot Marquis) and I happened to be wearing my FK jacket.
One of the guys working there noticed it and asked me about it. I
was so surprised. He said he used to watch it years ago. I told him
about the dvds and the mailing list. I wrote down the addy and info
for the list. Unfortunately I never got his name (another guy was
helping me and there were a lot of people in the shop, so we had to
move along) so I don't know if he joined the list or not.

First, thanks for all the kind thoughts. Chapter 3 is fixing to be posted.

Something I have been wondering....

I know the vamps in FK have mind control abilities but can they read minds? I
know they can when they feed, but do they communicate telepatically? I know
they can in Anne Rice novels and some others, but I cannot find out about FK.

I have never seen this in any episode of the series, though it seems to be a
regular feature in fanfics. Please let me know, for I do like to be more or less
canon.

Has it ever been brought out?

Hi and welcome. Glad you made it to this group as well.

I'll be back for that LaCroix/Carhith conversation shortly.

Again, welcome. And see if you can get Joe and the others to join, if they
haven't already.

This is a question I have pondered, and I have come to
the conclusion that they are empathic and can get
sights and impressions, but I've not seen anything to
indicate actual telepathy (communication with full
sentences/thoughts.) But that is my take on it :)

I don't either recall this being in mentioned specifically in any of the eps,
but I've always been of the opinion that the vamps do have some sort of
telepathic communication. Perhaps not as a whole, but certainly within
"families."

Also, I've never seen this "communication" as being words, as in a the
ability to hold conversations, but more like feelings, perceptions and
thoughts.
It's the only thing I can come up with to explain how LC always knows what's
going on with Nick. Also, I've never believed that Nick heard LC's monologues
only via his car radio.

Thanks everyone for answering so quick.

I to believe that they can "feel" thoughts (Janette mentioned this when she
told Nick that she could feel the link between them vibrating), but not speak in
whole sentances.

I just wanted to clear this up in my own mind for I always figured that if Nick
could read minds, then all he would have to do is read the suspects mind in a
case and know everything that they were planning on doing. I think this may be
a reason that the vamps in FK were never shown connected that way.
