I don't know if this has been reported, but the final season premiere of
Queer as Folk started tonight with a two episode season opener.

In episode 502, John Kapelos makes his initial appearance as a news reporter
who hires Emmett for his show after catering his wedding. He'll be on again
next week in episode 503.

I almost didn't recognize him. He's lost quite a bit of weight. He looks
good.

This is cool! IMO we get to see too little of him (and now even less, eh

I just saw John Kapelos in Dead Like Me (in the season 1, disc 3 episode "A
Cook"). It was fun to see him once more with significant screen time.

I'm really enjoying Dead Like Me; it has a certain kissin' cousin relationship
to FK, since it's filmed in Vancouver, deals with the undead ("grim reapers"
rather than vampires), and has surprisingly good writing dealing with issues of
life and death.

Yes, he did look really good. I was very impressed.

I'm just very glad that the character didn't turn out to be gay. I don't
think I would ever be able to watch any of his scenes with Nick with a
straight face again. *grins*

And did my ears decieve me, or was his character's name Don?

Unfortunately, Dead Like Me was cancelled and replaced with Huff. What a waste
considering that Huff is so horrible.
