We do have dry heat here until August when we get our 'Monsoons' then the
humidity goes up to about 75+%. Oh joy! 110 + humidity! And it gets dark so
late here. Nick couldn't start his shift untill after 8:30PM.
Yours dreading the coming heat, Debbi

Posted with McLisa's permission.

I had a rather unusual opportunity to write a poem for a cross stitch design
which is now out on the market. The designer, Sue Hillis, asked me to rewrite
the essay/story The Rainbow Bridge into a shorter, more poetic form. For those
who don't know, The Rainbow Bridge talks about how pets who pass away go to
wait for their owners just this side of Heaven and when the owners join them,
they pass over the Rainbow Bridge into Heaven together. (I can't help wondering
if all Screed's rats, dinner or otherwise, would stamped him? <wRPg>)

The counted cross stitch design is now available for viewing and purchase at
needlework stores or various places online including one of my favorite sites:

http://www.123stitch.com/cgi-bin/itemdetail.pl?item=L407

I don't know how well you'll be able to read the poem, but at least you can
see the design. Please note that the poem IS copyrighted so please don't
distribute or repost the poem.

By the way, there's a cat in the design playing with a mouse. That is my late
Ms. Sunshine Kitty, aka "The Nunkies Addicted Kitty." The designer surprised
me with that!

I can't read the poem, sorry. But I'll check out my neighborhood
Michael's craft store sometime.

I had a poem recently published also. It's in the current print
edition of Scifaikuest. They paid me a whole dollar.

Good thing I have a day job.

Ack! Sorry, I accidentally sent this to the list.

I was at a store this morning, and my total came to $12.28. Of
course, that put a big grin on my face.
