<<Question: Does anyone know who in the FK fandom wrote the first FK fan
fiction, and what date?>>

I wrote fan fiction based on the Nick Knight pilot, as did several other
people. But don't forget that was in the days of fanzines, when stories
were actually published as text and sold at conventions or through the
mail. That would have been 1989 (August or so) when it aired. I believe
the first fanzines contain NK material appeared in spring of 1990.

Even with FK, you can't trace back the first, because there are TWO firsts
- the first fanzine story to appear and the first fiction to appear on the
ForKni-L list. I can't claim either because I was brought into the fandom
by reading fanzines available at MediaWest, both list and non-list fiction
represented. I thought the writing was exceptional and decided I wanted to
play in the sandbox with those people. It was a very rich mythology and a
hell of a group of people to play with.

Hope that helps.

Elliza Rahim and it is Singapore. I haven't heard that Singapore is affected by
the tsunami but that doesn't mean we don't have anyone who was in the area.
<sigh> There are large numbers of dead and missing westerners. The figure I saw on
CNN was something like 1,000 Germans. I just hope none of our German
contingent is among them, or has friends or relatives missing.

McLisa, answering on list in case anyone else is trying to remember the name.
