Subject: Update on Ko-Koi

Thanks to everyone for your notes. I'm in extreme pain from my back, so I'm
cheating and answering you all en masse instead of individually.

She spent all Tuesday at the vet, and all night at the emergency clinic.
They gave her a blood transfusion, (un)graciously donated by Nicky (five
guesses who he's named after), and she's been eating and washing, which is a
huge improvement. The platelet/RBC count is still very low and she may need
another transfusion. It's still possible this is all in vain. We're doing
all we can, but since we don't know the cause, there's limits.

The good news is that she may be allowed home tonight, if she's still doing
well. :-)

The first fanfic I ever posted was a Forever Knight Xmas story. Hard to
believe so many years have passed since then! I look forward to reading
this year's crop of holiday tales!
