I would love to have a copy. How much does it cost? I love Catherine Disher!
Hoping for your reply!

To judge by the interest in the Gemini tape, a lot of folks would probably be
interested in sending their congratulations to Catherine Disher on her Gemini
award. I couldn't see any direct way to get through to her, such as through her
agent, but we could contact her either via the Academy of Canadian Cinema and
Television (the Gemini organizers) or CBC (who regularly give her work, and
aired Snakes & Ladders, the TV series she won for).

So, here is the text:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We, the undersigned, would like to offer our warmest congratulations to
Catherine Disher on her Gemini award for "Best Performance by an Actress in a
Continuing Leading Dramatic Role". Way to go, Ms. Disher!
Signed,
(Real name1)
(Real name2)
etc..
P.S. We are also fans of Forever Knight, but don't worry, we won't take your
remark about TV series on Space personally. :-)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm open to suggestions for improvements on wording, better ways to get in
touch, etc. The KtK crew has done this sort of thing lots more than I have!

 If you want to sign, send your real name and I will put it on the list. The
deadline will be Wednesday, Dec. 22, so don't delay!

Your humble & obedient servant,
Angela Gottfred

I would leave this off. Catherine Disher is fairly reclusive to fans because
of some ... incidents, and might not understand the humor behind this
sentence. Why not just say we are also fans of Forever Knight and leave it at
that?

Sounds good; thank you for the input. I was feeling a trifle whimsical when I
stuck that on.

CD's reclusivity has remitted somewhat, I think, as her young (11?) son was
on-camera during the awards when she mentioned him in her acceptance speech.
(He has a sense of humour too.) Still, better safe than sorry.

 ... until the deadline for the DarkNN Yuletide Awards! As a reminder, entries
are due by December 24th, 2004 at Midnight Pacific Standard Time (which would
make it technically Saturday morning of the 25th). I'd like to see a number of
entries this year, so even if you're a newbie, write, write, write!!!
 And for those of you waiting for more of Christmas Beginnings, I'm working on
it!! My car broke down, and my 19 year old daughter's in the midst of a
crisis, so it's been a bit nutsy around here (what else is new, right? >G<).
 Happy writing, and good luck!
