I went into NYC today to see Wicked and I was wearing my FK coat.
(black stadium jacket with the logo on the front that I got a few
years back) Anyhoo... after the show I always go to the theater shop
at the Marquis Hotel. While I was checking out, one of the store
employees asked me where I got my coat. I said I got it from a
fellow fan who made it. He said how he loved the show and how it
isn't on anymore. I told him about this list and gave him the info
on joining. He was really surprised that so many people still were
interested in the show.
I also told him about the dvds. He laughed and said now he has to
buy 'Oz' and 'FK' and he'll have to have some marathons of tv
watching come January.
Goes to show... WEAR YOUR FK GEAR IF YOU HAVE IT. There are fans out
there that are still in the dark.

Deb,
I have used this references for most of my writings
involving Catholocism:

http://www.catholic.org/
http://www.beliefnet.com/

For historical usage, I have used:
www.about.com

I would also do a google search on any university with
a Medieval history program (IE Miami U does have a
good one...I have a minor in it :) for any historical
facts. I admit to knowing a LOT more about the
Medieval Catholic Church than the modern one, although
I have taken adult catechism classes in the past for
the learning aspect.

Good luck :)

Hi Amanda,
I assumed you meant the practice of the holiday by
those living there in that time?

I did a google search on:
Christianity+jerusalem+"13th century"+holy
festivals+Christmas

and found the following:

http://www.orthodoxytoday.org/articles/HvidtHolyFire.htm

http://www.biblebb.com/files/christmas00.htm
http://encarta.msn.com/encyclopedia_761556859/Christmas.html

If you do a search on:
history+jerusalem+crusades+christians+holidays+practice

http://www.christianitytoday.com/history/newsletter/2003/aug8.html

You might want to also try various global university
libraries. Academia is where you will find most of
your answers, try Oxford.

Merry Christmas to all--and to all who are "watching" Season IV, a
Christmas story. (Of course, what else?) I had a lot of fun
designing the Notes page. I hope you all like it. To anyone looking
for Xmas graphics to add to an e-card, you might try my two biggest
sources, J's Magic Graphics (http://jsmagic.net/xmas/) and Hellas
Multimedia(http://www.hellasmultimedia.com/webimages/default.htm).
They both have really large and varied collections which are free for
personal use.
If you like Urs, you'll be pleased to hear that her role is a
little bigger than usual. But don't worry: everyone--well, pretty
well everyone (not Screed, sorry)--gets a chance to shine. Christmas
is a time for sharing, so this episode is very much an ensemble show.
    That's the good news.

The bad news is that, like so many TV networks in real life, the
station you are watching is going to be showing seasonal specials over
the holidays. It will not return to regular programming until January
10th.  I know, I know--but in real life, that's the way it would be;
and you know it as well as I do.
For those who haven't tuned in yet, and think the holidays would
be a good time to catch up, the url is:
    http://ca.geocities.com/gwatson2@rogers.com/index.html.
You can download each episode off its own homepage. They're in zip
files, with a choice of versions in Word or WordPerfect. From the
same homepage, you can click onto the Notes for the episode--but
(spoiler warning) please read them *after* reading the episode.

Oh dear, my last post in response to this topic clearly should have gone

I am obviously waaaaaay out of practice! Apologies.

I just finished my usual log-on, report and delete spam routine. One piece of
spam was from "LC" with the subject line "Lock in your rate before it's too
late." Immediate visions of LaCroix touting loans rushed through my admittledly
under-occupied mind. :)
