*That* sounds like a short humorous piece of fanfic.

The audio is nothing compared to the visual with the musical Buffy episode.
Have you seen it yet?

re St. Nicholas, specifically...

Don't know if it's true or not, but I have been told that St. Nicholas was
also the patron saint of prostitutes as well.

Back to lurking now.

You *are* bad! I saw that ep (strange to see the alien doctor in human
guise) and thought it was crying out for a "Part Two" at the end. But
it isn't going to be me who writes it---way too busy, I am, and I'd
like to scratch out a Christmas story that might even drop before the
25th.

Well that explains his protective nature towards Janette. ;)

I don't see that mentioned on my two main internet websites about saints,
although he is certainly the patron of a whole bunch of other stuff.

However, that doesn't mean that prostitutes are left patronless; St. Mary
Magdalen is well known for being the patron saint of reformed prostitutes, and
St. Margaret of Cortona is also their patron. St. Afra and St. Theodota both
were prostitutes. St. Mary of Egypt both worked as a prostitute and is now a
patron saint of reformed prostitutes. (BTW, Mary Magdalen was *not* a
prostitute--read the New Testament carefully, and you can see that it's a bum
rap, she got confused with another woman.)

Angela Gottfred
