On Thursday, I paid a bill and then realized that I had $1228.88
left in my checking account.

The hubby and I rented "Dead Like Me" 's first season and I saw Ben
Bass, John Kapelos, and Blu Mankuma in various episodes!

I'm sure everyone has heard this already, but I totally missed it....
it was kinda cool seeing all of them in other roles. I particularly
liked John Kapelos as "Angus Cook" -- something about him reminded me of
Schanke.

*insert proper Ratpacker sniff*

This lil' lowly Ratpacker has something you don't have...

"Siege Perilous" by Nigel Bennett and P.N. Elrod! Right here in me tight lil'
ratsie pawsies.

The novel will be released next month at a cover price of $22 (hardback).
I've only had a chance to read a few chapters, but it is fantastic! I'm not one
to say that lightly. I mean it. I'll be posting reviews to various sites within
the next few days, and will include FORKNI-L.

The cover by Jamie Murray is absolutely stunning. He told me he actually hasn't
painted in several years. He did the cover art (but not as cover art) years
ago, and electronically manipulated a scanned version into the proper cover
format and art. There's a metallic shine to it. Of course vampire Richard Dun
looks remarkably like Nigel Bennett (and vamped out like LaCroix<g>)

I saw both PN (Pat) Elrod and Jamie Murray at FenCon in Dallas this weekend.
Pat and I didn't get a chance to talk much, though we did judge the costume
contest together. She'll be forwarding a copy of Atomic Mouse #3 with my FK
parody in it to Nigel... She laughed hysterically at the site of LaCroix aka
LaCrow as a crow.

Just a personal little new here, for those who know who comic, novelist, and
screenplay writer Joe Lansdale is, he INSISTED on buying Atomic Mouse #3 from
me after thumbing through it during the comic book panel. I'm still in very
happy shock over that one ;-D

Personally, I loved these. You should go driving more often.

What the subject heading says.

Also, as suggested by someone who found it tedious waiting, I've
converted the photos into thumbnails. I didn't show any of them full
size anyway; so there's no loss of clarity. This should speed up
downloading for people who have direct dial-up Internet access, and also
reduce the likelihood of the site crashing again.
