pronounced it the right way.

Stay safe everybody.

Some of you who are also on HIGHLA-L may have seen
this one. They're discussing the ep Dramatic License
and someone said that Nigel Bennett was going to play
Terence Coventry in the ep. That brought to mind
images of LaCroix and company interacting with the
immortals...lol.

I wonder if they'd see them as the ultimate renewable
food source...drain 'em and wait a while and they're
full for the taking again.

Or the whole thing with Nick Knight and Quentin
Barnes/Michael Moore, but that's another story. Maybe
even a crossover fic *ggl*.

Sorry if this is heresy, <g> but if there are so many posts made that other
participants don't have the time to read or properly digest a great many of
them, it seems a tad pointless. Could the number of posts per faction be
limited as well?

I suppose it might curtail some of the fun, though ...

I don't see that as being fair because then each independent player would get
3 posts (or however many), but yet entire factions would be limited as well.

It does NOT matter if everyone reads ever post or not. I don't think I ever
have and it has never limited my fun.

I think that would seriously limit the story development of each
faction. Also, some factions are large enough to have multiple
storylines going on at the same time. For example, the Mercs (one one
level) are designed for multiple storylines- since any Merc on a job
is probably on their own or in a small team, regardless of what's
going on in Merc Central and with the rest of the Guild members.

Then there's the issue of how would one consider a post that involves
multiple factions?

I know something that's worked well in the past is for a person to
take a faction and digest their actions for the day. I'm trying to
remember if that person was from the faction or not (or even a War
participant).

I've written digests for WAR;I was a member of the UF faction, and also
participated in writing war posts.

It's pretty simple, takes an hour or so every day of the war. Every WAR
story sent to the list has a short prefix with the factions involved in
that post (i.e. "War: Merc/NNPack/UF "<name of post>" (01/01)". I had to
read every post for the day which included members of the UF faction,
write a short synopsis of the post (just the basics of who did what to
whom), and post it to the main list as "War: UF digest <date>". I
usually did two or three such posts every day, depending on how busy the
WAR list was.

I don't think anyone would have the time to read every single post in a
war; there are just too many. Having a daily digest from each faction
means everyone can keep up-to-date with what is going on, and it's easy
to pick out the posts you really need to read.

Oh, and by the way.... I have all War 11 posts, I think, and there are
132.

It's a great comic (Yay! Well done Libs!) with loads of FK references,
so if you want it, let me know - OFFLIST!!! <waves to McLisa>

Funny thing is I have that particular episode on DVD. "Highlander: The
Series" season two episode "Turnabout". Althought it took me a good five
minutes into it to realize that was Ger guest staring. *goes hide
