Funny. I've been buying TV show DVD boxsets for a while now, so when I heard
of the $20+ price and the title of "Trilogy" I wracked my brain trying to
figure out where in the entire series was there ever a 3 part episode for them
to put onto DVD. I almost didn't pre-order because I thought Sony had decided
to pick and choose what eps to put on DVD. No way would they sell an entire
season for under $30. The $40 price jump seemed perfect logical to me.

Well, if anyone has a fairly good Canadian version of Dark Knight pt 1 on VHS
to loan, I'd be happy to convert it DVD as I have been doing with several
other of my fave series that I know have no shot in $#$@ of being put on DVD.
Until the DVD release FK was among them. I still may do it for my fave eps from
season 2.

The armor scene sounds familar to me, but I've never consciously seen any
Canadian versions. And since I've been watching since the '89 Springfield
version, I'm guessing some station somewhere showed at least once, an uncut
version.
I may have it on tape, but I'd have to search 600+ VHS to find it.
(Unfortunately, my ability to completely and accurately record what I've tape
has varied over the past 20 years. )

Yes, I was surprised they did not answer more questions, but I thought it
was a cool show still. I think the purpose was focused more on getting new
people interested in the show through the radio stations that will air this
and of course to sell the dvds. I heard ABC Radio Networks is airing this on
Halloween, but I have not been able to confirm this yet.

It was actually USA scenes that were cut on the Sony DVD of DK. What I am
thinking about doing, when I do a computer upgrade in November, is offering
an uncut version of DK on DVD using scenes from my own DVD recordings off
Sci-fi inserted with Sony's (which are really about the same quality).

I got the DVDs! I have 1 thru 5, no duplicates thank goodness. I won't have
time to make sure they all work until tomorrow, but they all *look* okay.
Actually, they look WONDERFUL! Much cooler than the pictures. And I like
the wee episode guide - I didn't realise that Carrie-Ann Moss was in Feeding
The Beast (or I forgot - my brain is a seive).

Dancing for joy,

Hi,
Did anyone out there tape or have a transcript of the radio show.
Unfortunately, I missed it even though I signed up on every newsletter alert
to hopefully know when it would air. If anyone has a copy they can share, I
will gladly pay expenses. I am so disappointed that I missed out on this.
I even submitted a couple of questions, but am mostly very interested about
what they had to say.

Thanks!

I'm double-checking canon for a fic I'm ... well, "writing" would be a strong
word, let's just say I'm working on it. Which ep was it that Natalie was
breaking up with Nick and which one in which Jeanette broke up with him?

And what happened to the Crusader Halloween fic contest?

(delurking for a moment)

Hello all!

Having been on this list for a long time, and reading about FK fans in
straightened financial circumstances due to health problems, etc., I
have an extra set of the FK DVDs I would like to offer at the preorder
price, plus shipping (the preorder price was $24.99). I myself know how
it is to have health difficulties and a tight budget (being a kidney
transplant recipient and still on disability). Drop me a line offlist if
anyone is interested. My e-mail addy is latheysprint@earthlink.net.

Hey friends. Three thoughts. One) I heard the radio show and was a little
disappointed. They answered two questions. I wish they had done a better job.
Two) I lost the address for the Crusader. Could someone send it to me please.
And three) Anyone else trying for the Raven awards? You're thoughts on it.
Thanks and stay safe friends.

About the only interesting thing to come out of the radio show was the
revelation that Schanke's name came from a friend of Jim Parriott's father---
there was a Don Schanke who was a journalist for one of the big eastern papers
(Washington Post? NY Times? I don't remember).

It was nice to hear Ger and Jim Parriott, but overall it was just a puff piece
for the DVDs.

Where did this originally play?

Listening to it now. Poor GWD, another announcer gets
his first name wrong. At least he didn't put emphasis
on the wrong syllable like the ad for Tracker on
SciFi.

From what I have heard it's supposed to air on Halloween through ABC Radio
Networks. I haven't been able to confirm this though.
