So here I am watching Curiouser & Curiouser, and the same question runs through
my head as always: I wonder how the cast reacted the first time they read the
script? I imagine there were a lot of chuckles and groans!

I asked my contact at Sony if she could keep me updated on how well they are
selling. I will let everyone know if/when she replies.

Hi everyone,

What has happened to fkfanfic.com? It was there last night and
today----pfttt! I know the original list owner wasn't keeping it up but I
thought someone

Anyone know the story?

...and what makes me sad is the fact that fkfanfic.com (the guestbook) is
still used for that damn junk mail!!!

I would like to know why Mel didn't decide to give this wonderfull work to
someone who would be interested in continue it. I know that there is the
fkfanfic2 but the original shouldn't die...

It was the first site I discovered when starting with internet in 1997.

Speaking of Nick's eating scenes... I happened to turn on the marathon
just in time to see the scene in The Fix when Nick and Schanke go into the
restaurant and talk to the mobster. It was even funnier than I
remembered. I haven't seen it for a while, so it was fun watching
everyone's little nuances.

I've been having a rather tough several weeks and seriously needed a good
laugh. That scene was just the right thing!

Okay - when I rewatched the episode 'Only the Lonely' I saw Nat 'cleaning'
her paper plate with a fork after she finished eating her cake. Right after
that she threw the plate into the trash - LOL.

Hello all!

I would like to oblige a bit of information from all of you, if you do not
mind. Thank you in advance for your time.

Has there has ever been an established charitable organization both in and of
the history of FK fandom? (not actor-related). If so, is it still active?
As I've only been a fan for less than ten months, I can use all the knowledge
I can get.

Thank you very much, and have a fangtastic night/day!

At one point there was a red cross blood drive to get FK fans to "donate blood
for FK". :) ie. giving blood to (for) a vampire, sorta, so to speak.

In 1998 the German Forever Knight Fan Club did a charity for children with
cancer, in the name of FK. It was hold in a hotel in Duesseldorf, Germany.

If it is the same thing that happened last year and it looks like it is
because I checked, the domain name has not been renewed yet. It expired
October 8. Last year the same thing happened and she finally renewed it
after a couple of months and the site was put back up. Is anyone in
contact with her that can ask her if she intends to renew it again? The
site hasn't been updated since maybe March? of 2000. I do have the
entire site downloaded so the stories aren't lost.

Back in 1997, the Nigel Bennett fan club had a Charity Auction Called
Bridging the Knight. It was an auction of Forever Knight props from the show.
If I remember correctly it raised over 80,000 US for charity.

The auction went over so well that Nigel Bennett, John Kaplos and John Casser
started an organization called Lights, Camera Auction or Motion Picture
Charitable Alliance. It continues to aution off props from various popular
shows
and movies to this very day. As a matter of fact, I believe LCA6 is happening
this coming weekend.

So yes....Forever Knight is responsible for bringing about several charity
events.

I don't know the specifics of the FK fandom charity
stuff as I've only recently become involved. <bg> (I
watched the show since the first airing, but NiteMar
recently introduced me to the concept of a FK online
fandom) However, I've found that many fandoms, while
they may not have an *organization* for it, per say,
do hold charity auctions from time to time. I know
the Lois and Clark fandom does does--they hold at
least one every year at the FoLC (Fans of Lois and
Clark) Fest in LA. This past year, they raised quite
a chunk of change for some cerebal palsy
organizations...

this is one of my favorite FK episodes, so I know I am biased :-)
But, I honestly do think that the cast would have found it fun.
All of them - aside Nick - are suddenly "acting against type".
None of the supporting characters are behaving as we would expect and
I've got to believe that actors would find it fun to be able to
stretch their creative legs a little and expand their interpretation
of a character - even if they can only use that interpretation for a
single episode.

LCA 6 was October 3-5. It was very successful thanks to the devoted fans of
FK and many other shows :) The charity is called MPICA - Motion Picture
Industry Charitable Alliance. The web page is - http://www.mpica.org

Nick has been wanting to be human and working for it. All of a sudden
he is human, with a family even. Why didn't he just take it and go
instead of fighting it?
