I am watching the Discovery Times channel on tv and there is a show
on about Ancient Myan Jade. The show says that Jade represented
eternity to the Myans.
I couldn't help but think of Dark Knight. They keep showing
artifacts on screen and I keep looking for a cup like Nick's. :)

The cup looks a lot like the jade head found at Altun Ha . I found
that out when my daughter was looking at a picture of the cup in DK and
mentioned the similarity. She has been to Belize on an archaeological
dig at Cahal Pech. She has been through several Mayan sites. Here is a
link to the site that talks about the head.

****WOW! This certainly does remind me of the jade cup. Some things in FK
hit the mark real close, shows someone did a bit of research or knew about
certain things, however they missed the boat on others. I guess, after all,
it is just a TV show and Fiction.

****After seeing the picture at the above URL, I can see why you kept
looking for Nick's Jade Cup. <LOL> I would have done the same thing, or at
least paid close attention to see if anything resembled it.

This may border on cheese, but I've always wondered if Janette was referring to
Nick in that statement,
as opposed to herself. After all, the point behind what she's saying to Nick is
that his doubts about his nature were the cause behind why she started to doubt
her own.

So, what she could really be saying is, "You were right when you said that 800
years was a long time to live with a cold heart."

Just a thought.

Natalie Lambert is alive and well and doing valuable medical research!
My husband was reading about some recent research into blood genetics in
a science magazine, when he came across the name Natalie Lambert. It
seems that *this* Natalie is doing some very promising medical research
on blood and genetics. Lambert and her colleagues have discovered that
some women carry a small number of white blood cells (<50 per million
blood cells)
from their mothers. Understanding this phenomenon could have great
implications for reducing the rejection rate of transplants, and
auto-immune disorders.

Heh heh heh. Seems like she's still looking into
Nick's problem... after all, the vampire virus is
transmitted by the blood of the master vampire, thus
making them related. <veg>
