I'm on digest so i don't know if anyone has said this, but in Bad Blood, Nick
says to LaCroix something like 'so this is where you have been hiding.' and
then LaCroix says something like, 'i do not hide. ... Janette has been kind
enough to offer me shelter (or something like that). But the point is that in
the 2nd season, at least around Bad Blood, that's where LaCroix seemed to be
staying. *shrugs*

>In Season 2, I don't think it was ever obvious where LaCroix lived.

I'm looking for screen caps which feature the following things:

1) Detailed covers of any newspapers seen in FK, particularly the tabloid
variety (It was "The Inquisitor" in FK, wasn't it ?)

2) Any and all wrappers from Schanke's take-out souvlaki.

3) Nat's doctor's bag.

4) Any and all official credentials for Nick, Schanke, and Nat.

5) The Joan of Arc cross _and_ the box Nick keeps it in.

Subject: Mini die-cast Caddys

Just found out I won an auction for a miniature 1959 Cadillac Series 62 1/43
die-cast car. When mine arrives, I'm gonna "FK" the display case. (Yah, I
know; Nick's was a '61. But it seems the public and toy manufacturers are in
love with the '59).

The company that made the mini-Caddy I won is called New-Ray Toy; I checked
their web site to see if their Caddys were still in production and available
for retail purchase. Unfortunately, they aren't. Fortunately, though,
they're fairly inexpensive to bid on. . .

Question: Isn't the 62 Caddy almost identical to the
'61? The one I won off Ebay was a Dub City series 62
'62 Caddy. (And what's the 'series' stuff mean?)

I can't supply screen caps myself, but maybe I can help somebody else
find what you need.

Nope, the National Intruder. The episode would be Spin Doctor. The other
newspaper that we see (the respectable one) is the Metropolitan Examiner
(Spin Doctor, Only the Lonely). And Schanke reads the Police Special (a
weekly), in Hunters.

> 2) Any and all wrappers from Schanke's take-out souvlaki.

> 3) Nat's doctor's bag.
I think we see that in Cherry Blossoms and maybe in Father Figure.
>
> 4) Any and all official credentials for Nick, Schanke, and Nat.
We see Nick's Police ID card in Dance By the Light of the Moon, and his
deskplate in Strings and Avenging Angel. I don't think we ever see
credentials for Nat. Schanke flashes his badge in Hunters.

> 5) The Joan of Arc cross _and_ the box Nick keeps it in.
Could be seen in For I Have Sinned and also I Will Repay.

Hope this helps!

Subject: FK Moment

I was watching the TNT rerun of one of the Angel
episodes from early last season, and part of the
plot was an increase in paranormal activity. In one of
the early scenes, Fred and Gunn are checking out a
complaint of awful noises coming from a bathroom,
and they find themselves confronting a huge horde of
rats.I found myself thinking "You want them taken care
of, forget about Angel Investigations and have someone
get in touch with Screed"...he'd think he was in
heaven
LOL.

Well, it depends on the fan-fiction. I thought that this is what started
this entire discussion. The person who started this was writing fan fiction
and asked "IF" he had decorations, what type would he have.

If Nick was having Nat over and planned to move their relationship forward,
to try to share her life in the only simple mortal ways he could, then he
might surprise her with a tree, and invite her over. I think he would be
very romantic and have a Victorian setting and perhaps share with her a bit
of his life of a past Christmas.

Okay, Okay, Oaky, go shoot me! I'm a hopeless romantic and want those two
together, all mushy and fluffy. You guys know that, so deal with my
fantasies. <LOL> Please humor me, my alter ego can't take the
disappointment.<ROFLAO>

I think he would have just a tiny tabletop Christmas tree. And he would
really agonize over what to get for Nat. Can't spend too much or too
little, can't be too personal or too impersonal... Besides, what do you
get for the pathologist who has no time to enjoy it?

As a bit of a different perspective, I can see Nick having a very
interesting conversation with Nat about the proper way to celebrate
Christmas; it's only since the mid-19th century that it's become a major
holiday, with trees, Santa, etc. And of course the whole celebration has
become hugely elaborate since the 70's.

Well, as for the kitchen, I don't know what the zoning laws are in Toronto, but
in NYC, you can not moving into any residence that does not have a working
kitchen sink. Doesn't matter if the rest of the place is a disaster area with
no working bathroom, as long as you have a working kitchen sink you can move in.

So if that was required by law, I could see him doing the whole kitchen cause
it's more asthetically pleasing than having a random kitchen sink stuck to a
wall somewhere (with no kitchen around it), or he finds the irony amusing, or
the place already had a kitchen.

Just my $0.02.

I too am a hopeless romantic. The poerfect gift for Nat is a cozy dinner,
movie and quiet talk over a bottle of wine. That's my dream gift. You can
shoot me too, plus today is Nigel's 54th birthday. Really.

It was fascinating to see what others thought of
LaCroix's living quarters. I too think that he is a
minimalist and does not like to hang on to too much
past baggage. I see him as indulging in the best
modern furniture that money can buy( probably leather)
and always keeping the style in sync with the times.
He most likely puts up with having a kitchen as one of
those minor annoyances he must deal with. After living
as long as he has, he must have learned to change with
the changing times or he would never have survived so
long. Hummm… I wonder what type of furniture graces
Janette's place. Gothic maybe?
