Great! I wonder what books or other gifts you would buy for Christmas
for the other FK characters?

Nick: _The Feeling Good Handbook_
Nat: The Exhibit A pin that I mentioned in my last post.
Schanke: A Tim Horton's gift pack (he's not usually seen at Buckstar's,
he's definitely a Tim's customer), and opera tickets or an opera CD.
Janette: _The Many Lives and Secret Sorrows of Josephine B._ (a great
historic novel about Josephine Bonaparte, in journal form!)

Any other suggestions?

Well, actually, I'm looking for the person who responded to me off-list
Re:Crosses and the reasons Vachon can live comfortably in a church.
(of all places)

See - I've misplaced her email addy, and I've got a question for her.

Thanking you in advance for your help,

Tamara

If anyone's looking for it, the author is Robert Harris. Looks good! A peek
at what Uncle's life might have been like.

A big thank you and lots of virtual goodies to Kylie for organizing this very
fun competition.

Subject: Nick's Birthdate

In "The Hunted," after Merlin has created Nick's computer history, Stonetree
asks Nick when he was born. Nick says, "January 1st, 1957." Norma says, "58!"
and Nick makes an excuse about always forgetting 'cause it was New Years Day.

Well, methinks Norma needs glasses. The data file on the computer screen says
Nick's birthdate is January 1, 1957. ('Course, his first ID said he was 31 in
1990, which put his birthdate in 1959, but never mind.)

More fun with DVD freeze frame: the complete page reads:

A9000 Police Comp Mainframe
_Personnel Data Files__
BADGE#: 16596
NAME: NICHOLAS KNIGHT
ADDRESS: 101 GATEWAY
BIRTHDATE: JANUARY 1, 1957, CHICAGO IL

_ASSIGNMENT STATUS_
CURRENT: TORONTO METROPOLITAN PD
TRANSFERS: CHICAGO
RANK: DETECTIVE
_CITATIONS:_
COMMENDATION BRAVERY FILE #4372
COMMENDATION BRAVERY FILE #??20
COMMENDATION BRAVERY FILE #2306

The picture accompanying the file is the same beard-stubbled pose that appears
behind Nick and Janette at the end of "Love You to Death," in a frame on Nick's
art table. It looks like a sketch, but is probably just a weirdly-processed
photo.

Also would LC drain the guy right away
or have a little fun with him?

There is no way LC wouldn't make him pay
probably very slowly too, after all no one
messes with LC or his money

I always wondered if he was passing himself off as someone with dual
citizenship, or is he supposed to have become a Canadian citizen? Or
can you be a cop in Canada without being a citizen?

When I was checking out the Toronto Police Dept. website for my last
posting, I noticed that they have a gift shop.

Toronto P.D. Mousepad

&pf%5Fid=12492

I never knew St. Michael the Archangel was the patron saint of police
officers!
http://thecopshop.torontopolice.on.ca/copshop/product.asp?dept%5Fid=300&
pf%5Fid=12594

And the tote bag is on sale

&pf%5Fid=12523

Actually, there's a ton of cool stuff here: handcuff pins, Toronto PD
coasters, mugs, golf shirts and t-shirts. If you have somebody who
doesn't know what to buy for you, maybe it's time to drop a hint!

When I was in Toronto (1998 and 1999) I bought a lot of stuff, there.
But we also got the chance to meet one of the 'oldest' at that office.
He sent us a lot of badges (you know the Metro Toronto Police stuff)
and many other things (t h e blue shirt). It was just a great experiance.
Did you know that you can leave your finger print, there? We did ;-)
