Actually, IIRC, he was warned--set up for it by
LaCroix. Not only did he have titanium handcuffs, but
the chains were woven with rosary beads. And the
murderer was a serial killer who killed people by
deprivation of some kind. The story was set up nicely
for a sequel, but one was never written.

or the author)

Yes, it does: http://www.law.ualberta.ca/images/home_main.jpg
The U of A has just about everything (law, medicine, etc. etc.), because
it was Alberta's only university for about 80 years or so; my own alma
mater, University of Calgary, started out nearly 40 years ago as a
branch of the U of A.

I love the idea of Nat & Richard having ties to Alberta!

Well, for anyone else living outside North America who was wondering whether
or not to take a chance - I've placed an order for the Season One DVDs.
Yes, I know I'm taking a chance, but... I have a DVD which is supposedly
multi-region (haven't yet tested it out), and a CDRW/DVD drive on my
computer - and those drives can supposedly play any kind of disc. Not only
that, but my best friend Lesley has a portable multi-region DVD player and a
laptop with CDRW/DVD drive, and is a huge FK fan - she's the one who got me
hooked! So I figured between our four machines, chances are good at least
one of them will be able to play the FK DVDs.

I promise to let you know the results of this experiment in early November,
once the discs reach me.

Note to self: must arrange for Lesley to come over with both her machines
so we can have fun watching Forever Knight one weekend in early November!

Okay, I shouldn't read emails right as I get up, but I saw the type
'boos' and my mind leapt immediately to Nick being addicted to bad
kareoke. You know the guys who are just really bad and know it and seem
to thrive off the crowd flinching when they go for that high note? Now
picture Nick, with that little unsure smile of his, standing in front of
a crowded room singing 'Feelings' completely off key with the audience
writhing in pain before him as a cheesy video with the words go by behind
him...

heheh, well it amused the heck out of me :)

I had Scully learning about vampires, Nick mostly. But Mulder was kept in the
dark for his own protection.

Scully and Mulder already know about vampires from a case they did. They met
up with hick vampires who were at the other end of the spectrum from FK.

i saw this subject line and had to mention... i watched FK when it was on in
the early 90s. then came x-files, and i was a fan until the end. and then i
rediscovered FK and said Nat was my old-new Scully. i saw similarities, and
it was comforting. :)

Please, I'd be interested to know how it works out. I was so disappointed to
see on Amazon that FK may not play on multi-region DVD player. I'd spring
for the US$$ price (gulp, S$160!) if I knew it would definitely work.

The razor-edged collar was attached to a chain---if he pulled against
it, he cut his hands and/or neck because the inner edge was sharp.

Very icky idea!

Well, the man covered himself with garlic, shot Nick with a crossbow
through the heart, and yes, there was a razor collar but also rosaries
entwined in the manacles on his hands. So---yup, for some reason he
was expecting a vampire, and he bagged him one.

Yeah, that's right about hte window, and the sunlight traveled around
the room, forcing Nick to move away from it.

I think she ripped off her sleeve. But whatever.

Why can I remember all of this, and not the author or title?? Geesh!

Have you tried to find DVDs on Half.com? If you can stand the wait, you might
want to try to get FK a month or so after it's release and I bet you could find
a copy of it on that site. They seem to have a quick add rate for new titles.
That could be an option for you too.

"Nat and Scully as College roomates..." <Been there
done that!> <EG>
We did a (Comedy) recording back in 1997 where Nick
is investigating the abduction of Captain Joe Reese by
"Alien Vampires" bent on taking over the Earth.
Nick calls on an old friend of his "Duncan Mcleod"
(Highlander), and Nat calls on her "old college
roomate" Dana Scully (X-Files) who brings along her
partner Fox Mulder.
It all takes place during Halloween! VERY funny,
VERY SILLY! Played totally for laughs! It is called
"Fangs for the Memories". Very deranged!
