Subject: Quotes that Represent the Characters

Greetings,

I am planning to create a special video that will feature each major
character in FK season 1, sort of like another version of the theme
sequence. It's going to have 1 quote representing the main trait of each
character. I'd like to hear what quotes you think represent each
character best (the quotes should be from season 1). So far, I have some
ideas listed below:
....................................
Nick: "Hi, my name's Nick and I'm an addict. It's the hunger that drives
me and it's not for boos or crack. It's for...I drink blood so I can
live forever." (FTB)

Natalie: "Most of my patients over the last few years have all been
dead." (CB)

LaCroix: "The Nightcrawler's waiting for you." (DK)

Janette: "How badly do you want me?" (DBTLOTM)

Schanke: ???
.....................................

Feel free to pass along any ideas and your favorite quotes for each
character.

Have a good Knight,
Kristin

Schanke: would have to be something like

"Where's the Souvlaki?"

You should also use the
"He was brought across in 1228 . . . "
line as the opening

What's that line from Dark Knight, when he offers to take Nick out for a
souvlaki?

Kristin,
  I found two from DK.

Nick : "It is my fault, Nat it IS my fault. All of this."
This was when they found Topper's body.
Schanke: "Man, oh man, oh man, oh man."
This one is around the caddy crash, I think. He says it again in that episode
too.

I used the transcript at fanfic, so you may want to double ck the exact quote.
Hope it helps, Phylis.
Sounds like it will be a neat video.

On the other hand, with as huge as it was on her, it could have been
Richard's-- heaven knows, I've stolen enough t-shirts from my brothers. Does
Alberta have a law school?

I am almost sure I once read a story that had Nick being put in a
small cinderblock room. I don't remember much of the story, other
than for some reason he went mad. Natalie found him, I think, and sat
outside the room for a long time until she was able to get him back
to sanity.
Does this sound familiar? Does anyone know the story? I'd like to re-read it.

this sounds similar to one of the Dance stories, but it was LaCroix who
locked him in a stairwell.

I love the Dance series. This was something else.
I guess I'll just start with the As and read towards the Zs.

Emily Lacey is looking for a story in which Nick is locked in a small room, and
Nat stays with him until he regains sanity...

There was a story written a number of years ago, in which Nick and Schanke are
on the trail of a person who has murdered a teenage girl---her body was found
underneath a boiler that supposedly fell over in an old house.

Nick follows some leads, and finds a man living in a remote farm who he thinks
could have a connection to the murder. The man, who is the murderer and who
knows about vampires, lures Nick into the barn and into a small room which has
windows all around it. He overcomes Nick by shooting him with a crossbow, then
chains him to the wall with chains and rosaries. He then tortures Nick by
depriving him of the blood which he needs to recover, and Nick gradually
reverts to an animalistic vampire.

Schanke and Nat, in the meantime, are searching for Nick, who has disappeared.
Janette helps as long as she can, and pinpoints the farmhouse, but is driven
into hiding at sunrise. Nat goes to find Nick and is also captured, and put in
the room with Nick. She stays just our of reach but manages to get Nick a
little bit of her own blood by cutting herself with a broken bit of glass,
soaking the blood into her shirt, and throwing it to him.

Anyway, it does have a happy ending. <G>

So---does anyone recognize this story from this exhaustive description? Does it
sound like the one you're looking for, Emily?

The shirt said "GIN" on the front of it. The rest was hidden by the heart
jacket. Which is what made me think of Virginia.

<<I like the idea of her having roomed with Scully. Maybe it was a slightly
alternate universe? :)>>

If anyone wants to read the fic where she and Scully are together it's "Old
Friends". There are two versions, R (rather mild slash), and PG. Both are
located in the xover section of my website (www.megspace.com/arts/fkfanfic).
I am working on another story. And with this discussion, might work on a college
one, just for fun. Once I finish some other fics (like Rebirth).

<<Of course, it's not necessary to be an alum to wear a university's shirt.>>

This is true. And sometimes Alumni don't wear shirts from their own school.
(Mine didn't have any good ones.)

I do love the tidbits from the Knightly News. :)

Maybe someone should make a sequel

Scully is investigating vampires & bumps into Nat
(Would Nat have to explain that Nick is a goo guy?)

Maybe LC does somehing that shows up on Scully's radar . . .

Sorry I just found a typo
I ment to say

Scully is investigating vampires & bumps into Nat
(Would Nat have to explain that Nick is a GOOD guy?)

Reading it I got this weird image, like something out of Ghostbusters

Nick covered in GOO yelling "NAT! . . . I've been slimed!"

??? My memory says he didn't actually know Nick was a vampire-- it was sheer
luck that his set-up (which included not roseries but a razor-sharp collar that
would decapitate him if he tried to get it off) worked on a vampire. I remember
that this seemed one heck of a conicidence to me! And the room didn't have
windows all around, just one set high in the wall.

Actually, it was her scarf. (I think.)

If someone actually remembers the name/author of the story, please tell us!
I'm confused, now!
