like. Here's the link to see your compatibility with Ger.

celebrity=Geraint+Wyn+Davies>>

Here's my results - Geraint Wyn Davies - 6% physical, 33% emotional and 65%
intellectual, giving me a total of 35%.

I won't take up bandwith with the others I tried, but it was interesting to
see the differences.

Big companies always buy each other out
(over the last year & a half, My email changed 3 times because
companies kept buying each other out)

Things are always moved or lost in a merger/buyout

I just hope FK isn't affected (unless they want to bring it back hint

NBC is the network which is going to be on different channels in different
areas. Here, it is channel 4 with Channel 7 being our ABC affiliate.

NBC is the home of Will & Grace, ER, etc. If I'm not mistaken, they are also
affiliated with BRAVO which really runs some wonderful programming.

I think they need to redo Schanke! Nick could be one of the people they

I think the first thing they'd do with Nick is add color to the wardrobe

I was specifically thinking of the Fab 5 when I wrote that Bravo has some

Therefore, I nominate Screed as the Fab 5 all rolled up into one person. He

NBC recently bought Bravo, and they've had quite a few NBC shows airing there
over the summer, so if the NBC/Vivendi Universal merger goes through, it
would be cool to see FK on Bravo, or, better yet, Trio's "Brilliant, But

Or, how about those times when they fed off of person for several nights like
Nick did in the flashback scenes for "Crazy Love." I'm sure all the vampires,
even LaCroix, had favorites they "savored" over the course of several days.

Now the thought of famine that someone mentioned earlier brings up
interesting ideas. Wouldn't famine for a vampire necessitate the end of the
human race?

A possiblilty in pre-historic times maybe, when a good human meal could
sometimes be hard to find. :-)

Problem is, we don't know how frequently a vampire needs to (as

one person per night?

Considering the number of vampires in the world (based on the
population of the Raven---one small club in one city) it seems
unlikely that vampires need to feed every night. That would certainly
make a dent in the human population---and would be noticed. Even in a
city the size of Toronto, a hypothetical murder rate of 30 people a
night would stick out like a sore thumb.

I think that vampires are more like lions or large snakes---feed
seldom, but when they do, feed big.

Especially in Toronto!

With a population of around 4 million, Toronto in RL averages a little
over one murder a week. Most murders here are as a result of domestic
disputes and that sort of thing, where the victim and murderer are known
to each other, so even one "random" killing would be on the front pages
of the newspapers for days.

Well that's why they go to the Raven! IMHO, the easy availablility of bottled
blood (a good deal of it collected undetected from blood banks, or perhaps
third-world countries), has contributed greatly to the population explosion that is
evidenced in Toronto. Remember, in DK, LaCroix asks "who needs to kill?"--
obviously, hunting is no longer common. Way back when, not only were their fewer
vamipres, death was also more common, and therefore less suspicious. Since
there no longer exists the need to find prey not only consistantly, but descreetly
as well, even reletively young vampires can conceivably create and raise
fledglings, something that before was only the province of those old enough and
experienced enough to deal with the miriad of problems in raising a child when
you're never quite sure where (who?) your next meal's coming from. It has also
skyrocketed the survival rate of masterless fledglings, who, being untrained, in
turn create then abandon other vampires.
The neccessity of protection and support drive these young 'strays' to form
quasi-family/gang groups who tend to live in abandoned buildings, picking up new
infants to train as they happen across them, thus further ensuring an higher
survival rate. They maraude at night, stealing and selling drugs to get money,
harrassing young vampires from other gangs as well as those who do have masters, and
generally causing a lot of trouble.

LOLOL!!!! Oh, the mental images. They should do Nick, definitely. I
can see the interior-design guy walking in, taking one look at 1) the
burned/bloodied elevator door 2) the penal-institution-quality metal
remote-control shutters 3) the motorcycle parked next to the grand
piano and 4) the 25-foot ceilings with attendant lousy lighting, and
just having a nervous breakdown. Then, when the food guy gets into
the fridge: "Well, we have *nothing* to eat here, just twenty-seven
bottles of red..." (opens, sniffs) "... um, I'm outta here."

Then, the friend quotes. Can you SEE them interviewing LaCroix? "Yes,
Nicholas does have appalling taste, especially in diet. But I doubt
you can convince him to try anything more... adventurous." And Reese?
"Nick's basically a good guy, but he's downright antisocial." And
Janette: "You are correct. Nicola rarely does get women to join him
in his bedroom. But somehow, I imagine that redecorating the room
will not quite have the aphrodisiac effect you gentlemen anticipate."
Tracy: "Do you think you guys can possibly convince him to wear
something other than black, black, black? I mean, that is just
completely goth and so passe'. I wonder sometimes if people think I'm
partnering Johnny Cash." And Schanke... the guys get one look at him
and decide to do a forced makeover on him instead. ;-)

Too much fun!

Since Forever Knight is an older series and in syndication, NBC will NOT run
it - of that I'm almost sure ;-) THey focus on original series, as the cable
channels like Sci Fi are the ones who run re-runs.

NBC does *not* run re-runs except for their own programs during usual re-run
seasons, and some they have apart in such as Bravo's QUEER EYE FOR THE STRAIGHT
GUY on occasion (and they run the same week as it does on Bravo)

The only reason I stress this is that it is "not gonna happen" and I think we
should put our efforts where they show actually has a chance of running... on
cable channels such as Sci Fi, and even in general syndication where it might
show up on a local NBC station but sold directly to that station instead of the
network. But the show has to be in general syndication before the stations have a
chance to purchase it.

If we write a network (ABC, NBC, CBS) trying to get the show on the air, it
might even have a negative effect as it could come across as fans who haven't done
their homework. It'd be as if we were trying to get FK to air on CNN (a news
channel), for example.

I hope that make sense. I had some television classes in college and have
forgotten some of the terms.<g>

Yes, but if they could make it look natural it would be different. Here in
Charlotte, we've had 10 or twelve drownings, two or three deaths from supposed
arson, things like that. And that has been in the last couple of months. Not to
mention bodies that are just "found". Hmm, now that I think of it, maybe I

Subject: NBC isn't merging with Sci-Fi and won't rerun FK

Guys, I think there are a couple of misconceptions here. NBC isn't merging with
SciFi or Vivendi. They're buying ownership of Vivendi, which in turn owns
SciFi. It's not the same thing. A merger happens when two companies legally become
one company. It's common for one company to own another but that doesn't make
them the same legal being. It also doesn't mean they have the same management.
NBC won't tell SciFi what to program. That would be an infringement of the laws
and regulations which prevent networks from unfairly using their size to control
independent producers.

Second, NBC doesn't do reruns of series which ran on another network years ago.
No U.S. off-the-air network does that.

When you see a show from one of the off-the-air networks (ABC, CBS, Fox, PBS,
UPN or WB) on another network's station, that's because the producers of the
show have syndicated the show in reruns. This means the original network's license
to carry the show expired. The producers can then sell the show to other
stations, which carry it when they're not carrying their own network's programming.
The other stations don't have to be affiliates of the original network.

Note: the producers are usually not the same as the network. There are legal
restrictions on how many programs a network can produce and carry.

Currently SciFi has the license to carry FK exclusively. Until this runs out,
nobody else in the U.S. can. The license was issued to SciFi. NBC can't use it.
It's not their license, even if they own SciFi.

If we're going to write about keeping FK on the air, our best bet is to thank
SciFi for bringing it back and making it clear that we want to see it continue.
This will help when their license for FK runs out.
