I was reading the news on Yahoo and there is an article that they are
tracking a asteroid that is going to come VERY close to the earth in
2014. They don't know if it will hit or not, but if it does it will
have the impact of 20 Million atomic bombs (aka what was dropped on
Hiroshima)
I immediately thought of AMPH!! Maybe it's a hoax to liven up the
stockmarket.

You can read the article buy going to
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=570&ncid=753&e=1&u=/nm/20030902/sc_nm/science_asteroid_dc

If the link doesn't work, go to Yahoo.com, click on news, and go to
the science section. It is kind of freaky that the estimated date of
impact would be the day before my birthday.

...I'm not sure I want NBC in charge of the SciFi channel. They're just not
the kind of people to appreciate such things as FK.

It is very doubtful that many, if any, of the people who were working at NBC in
1969 are still there. "The People" is actually a HUGE company of many people,
some who are may be Forever Knight fans.

They are going to do what is going to make the biggest profit. If Forever
Knight is a popular Sci Fi show, it will stay on Sci Fi. If not, then Sci Fi won't
renew its contract and another network will then be free to pick up the rights
to the FK reruns. THis is basically what Sci Fi does now.

The key word is "possibly," plus, they may not touch a thing at Sci Fi as Sci
Fi is NOT NBC, even if they are owned by the same company. Subsidiaries are
often run separately than the entire company as a whole.

Shoot, take Warners Bros. for example. They have the WB network with ANGEL the
tv series on it. Yet DC Comics, also owned by Warner Bros. does not publish the
ANGEL comic book, Dark Horse (as far as I know NOT owned by Warner Bros.)
publishes the comic book.

My point is that who owns the Sci Fi channel make not make a difference. It may
make things better. It may make things worse. We won't know until it happens.
The best thing we can do is that IF NBC and Sci Fi ends up owned by the same
company, is to watch Sci Fi's end of the bargain, see who stays or who comes as
TPTB there, and let them know there are FK fans out here.

Maybe we could send them one hundred white rats with the FK logo painted on
their sides. Think that'd get their attention??? <wRPg>
