Subject: Weird FK Moment

This morning around 7am, I was walking out to my car to go to work
and there, in the middle of the driveway was this neat little pile of
ash (maybe 2-3 inches wide and 2-3 inches high). It was NOT ash from
a car ashtray, as no one in our house smokes and it is a private
driveway.
I started giggling to myself wondering if there was a vampire lurking
outside my house who lost track of time and got caught when the sun
came up.
Very strange..... still no idea where it came from. But it won't be
awaking tonight, it rained during the day and it is now gone.

Subject: Forever Knight DVD Sales

Good evening,

Since the price correction, Forever Knight has significantly dropped at
Amazon.com to a ranking of 633 (it was at 29 in its prime). Sales at this
specific site are very important. Think of it as the top online site and
Best Buy as the top local one. Sales figures are looked at closely through
both of these and of course others, but these are the main ones. Sony even
links to Amazon through their own website. That's why I have strongly
encouraged fans to order one copy online and one copy locally at Best Buy.
We're not the hugest fandom in the world, so we really need to double our
#'s to ensure we get the other 2 seasons and perhaps some extras too.

It really should not be a problem to fans if they *don't* honor the lower
price....why? Because I highly doubt Columbia TriStar would be happy selling
so many at the *wrong* price, therefore making less profit than they should
have, therefore lessening our chances for the other seasons on DVD. It is
very normal to pay $50+ for a TV series on DVD. Think of all the stuff
you're getting on multiple discs and compare it to the costs of individual
DVD movies. You *are* getting a good deal.

Remember, we've been begging for these DVDs a long time now...We finally
have them. Let's make Columbia Tristar really glad they put this show on
DVD. ~g~

Here's a thought...what if Columbia TriStar was looking at the online orders
and saw just how many people were already ordering FK? Maybe, this is why
they are suddenly thinking about adding some extras like the "Commentaries
by cast and crew" mentioned at Barnes and Noble & the GWDFC (Ger *was*
contacted recently). You guys want extras right? Keep those orders coming!
~g~

Pre-order FK at Amazon here:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000C23T1/

And if you're able, celebrate the day - 10/21/03 - and travel over to your
local Best Buy to pick up your back-up set or use the extra set as a gift.

Hoping to see the rankings go back up...

Thanks. At least I know you're working on it and still in the fandom.
I think Mei Wa Kwong is no longer in the fandom, so unless someone
just happens to have her finished stories, those are never going to
be finished.

Sure. But you're the second to respond. The first response was just
for some copies of what I had.

Save the Last Dance was finished. I don't believe When Darkness Falls was
finished, but the author IS working on it.

Subject: Amazon Pre-orders - Price Honored

Hi everyone,

I have some good news. My friend e-mailed Amazon to see if they would honor
the first price and they said yes:
.................................................................
Thanks for writing to us at Amazon.com.

I have researched into the order (#102-8112236-9807344) and see that
currently the price of the item, "Forever Knight Trilogy: Part 1" is $59.96
on our web site.

However, rest assured, you would be charged $22.46 each for this item as
when the order was placed, the price of the item was that much only.

However, be assured, if you are charged more than this amount for this item,
please feel free to write back to us so that we can assist you more.

Thanks for shopping at Amazon.com.
..............................................................

Some of us may get the cheap price after all! :)

Gosh, I am posting a lot today...Can't help it. I am so excited about the
DVD set! :)

Anyway, Sony posted a picture of the discs tonight...well, part of them
anyway. You can view it here:

http://www.sonypictures.com/homevideo/catalog/catalogDetail_DVD043396012912.html

Cool! Wonder if the discs have characters on the left side faded into the
skylines? That's what I would have done anyway... ;)

Congratulate me. I just bit the bullet and ordered something (the FK
DVD to be precise) on line. A first for me. not to mention my family.
That's where the scary part comes in.

All I can say is that amazon.ca had better be as secure they claim it tis
and not mess up my credit card because if it isn't I am going to have a
lot of explaining to do. I am not talking about the price. For although I
hope it stays where it is advertised, even at full price the FK DVD is
about equivalent to the price of one ticket to the theatre. (good seats).

Congradulations! Welcome to the 21st century! <G> Don't worry, Amazon is VERY
secure-- I've been ordering from them for years. Look at it this way: if word
got out, or even the *hint* of a RUMOR got out, that Amazon or some other big
internet company was messing around with credit cards or stealing numbers,
they'd suddenly be out of business, because no-one would dare shop there, even
if it was just an unfounded rumor.

One month, 28 days until FK comes out! (But who's counting?)

                 -Megan

I have bought things from amazon and not had any problems and the
delivering is pretty quick too. Of course, you have to wait for the FK
DVDs.

Anne.
