Hey Nancy, we'll have to start a new group. i just put a deposit on an '04
Velvet Red Cooper!

i could see Urs driving a MINI or Screed (uh, if he drove).

This has probably been mentioned before -- but, isn't it odd that out of the
five main characters we never see LC at home, or driving? Just a random,
overtired thought, which may be flawed in its logic.

Yes, that's true. And Lacroix always struck me as the
type who would prefer being chauffeured in a
comfortable limo to driving himself. There isn't a car
that I can imagine LC at the wheel.
(Does anyone know which car Nigel drives?)

Congratulations! So they're selling the '04s now, huh? Velvet Red is a
nice color, just not as cheerful as I require in a car color. Racing
stripes on the bonnet? White roof?

> i could see Urs driving a MINI or Screed (uh, if he drove).

No, Urs is too depressed for a cheerful car like a MINI. But I bet
Natalie would enjoy one!

I don't know---to my mind, Lacroix wouldn't want anyone to know his
business and comings and goings. I think he'd rather drive himself
(and we all know what a control freak he is).

I see him in a black Jaguar sedan--sleek, fast, understated elegance.
And it's interesting to note that in the books Nigel wrote, his
vampire character does indeed drive a black Jag.

Don't call me stupid, but what's a bonnet? That
translates to hood in American, doesn't it? I've
forgotten LOL.

While I'm at it, no I don't remember seeing LC drive
or at home, but we do hear him say in Ashes to Ashes
"The club is my home"...but then what about the first
two seasons? I guess that's what we're wondering
about.

Yeah, taht's why I couldn't imagine Lacroix behind the wheel of any car....
although I'm thinking that the Mini looks like a good one for him! ;-)

Bonnet = hood, boot = trunk. In the MINI world, the Brit terms are
used.

Where did Lacroix live? Just about anywhere he wanted to. <g>

I always imagined he lived in a luxury condo somewhere downtown.
Convenient, discrete, and perhaps he could have daytime access to the
PATH, the system of underground passages and shops that goes
underneath a lot of downtown Toronto. Very convenient for a vampire!

We drove to Sedona yesterday (about 70 miles one way,
Mom's oncologist is there) and driving through
Cottonwood spotted an absolutely gorgeous old Caddy
convertible, red with white top, that looked to be the
same year as THE Caddy. I wouldn't be at all
surprised to one day see a Caddy in the right color,
Arizona is a haven for antique cars, dry climate, and
even here in Prescott and other elevations where it
snows, they use lava cinders, not salt.

Subject: update on FK parody in Atomic Mouse comic book

I just found out that the Forever Knight parody I wrote for ATOMIC MOUSE #3 will
most likely be released in October. It originally was slated for August, but the
Previews publication (which lists all the comic books being distributed through
Diamond Distributors) left out every one of the publisher's comics for August!
From what I understand, it actually worked out in my case as the artist was a
bit pressed for time. hahaha.

Anyway, as soon as it shows up in Previews, I'll post and let people know (my
guess is that it'll be about six weeks). Atomic Mouse isn't something that you
will get just anywhere - you'll probably have to call your closest comic book
store and make sure they'll order you a copy (or more).

This is very important to me as I was told that issue 3 may be the last of
Atomic Mouse due to slow sales. *sob* What I'm hoping is that enough FK fans buy
the book that sales increase dramatically. It probably won't save the
publication, BUT it could very well show the publisher that *I* have a "fan
base" (or in this case, lots of friends!) It could mean more work for me in the
future with them.

This is a PARODY, not actually Forever Knight. But I think FK fans will get a
kick out of the humor.
