Since the last episode of Buffy is about to run in the United States, I want
to remind us all not to discuss anything in regards to Buffy and FK which
will spoil the ending of Buffy.

Thanks! I figure this is the ounce of prevention instead of the pound of
cure.

I really appreciate this. Thats one episode I don't want spoiled. Having
come into FK in the middle or near the end. The whole series was colored by
the ending I saw well before seeing a great deal of the rest of the series.

I just saw him in the TV movie "Martha Inc" about
Martha Stewart. It was almost like seeing LaCroix with
an "evil" Vampire! LOL!

So did I. Only this time, he played an executive with Time Warner who has to
go up against Martha... LOL!

Always nice to see Nigel on tv. :-)

I wish LC would take out Martha Stewart
(take her out without bring her over)
Then I wouldn't have to hear about her anymore

Just thought I'd better add that not spoiling Buffy's last episode in any
comparison with FK continues after tonight. There are Forkni-lers in other
countries who are also Buffy fans and who won't get it until later.

Thanks!

Forever Knight got a very brief mention in the Arkansas Democrat Gazette this
morning. Well, okay, more precisely, my FK/Buffy the Vampire list did, but it
counts!

Pick the full version (the one on the left), and then feature articles (from the
list on the left). The article is "Showdown in Sunnydale."

First I want to say that this isn't a spoiler as the show hasn't
aired yet - I am commenting on the commercials and such...
It seems like they *might* be doing a FK type ending though. There
has been rumors and such that several people are going to die.
I just found that interesting.

My apologies - I am NOT a subscriber and was able to view it this morning, now
can't. It is a VERY lengthy article so I can't retype the entire thing here, but
the paragraph mentioning FK is:

"Libby Smith Singleton of Benton moderates one of hundreds of Internet
discussion lists devoted to Buffy (her subscribers are limited to ages 18 and
older, and they also discuss FOREVER NIGHT). She became hooked on the series
after watching its innovative musical episode in November 2001.

'I like vampire stores anyway,' she said, 'but I think with BUFFY, it relfects
real life in a wild sort of way. So you can identify with the story lines. In
some cases you may have been there - without the monstors.'"

It goes on to talk about those who think the show is demonic, and then quotes me
much later as saying in relation to that as well as why the show never developed
a huge audience (which I disagree with but that quote wasn't used) "Singleton
thinks that people shouldn't be faulted for having different tastes. 'But
there's the whole 'it's satanic.' ... They just automatically, 'oh, vampires,
evil.' WHen really there's an underlying spiritual message in each episode which
isn't really preaching any one religion but yet good triumphs.'"

(note: I don't remember saying that so wonder if someone else interviewed said
it - but it does sound like me)

"THe 140 members on her discussion group (groups.yahoo.com/group/fkspiked)
'wonder all the time why Buffy is so popular and FOREVER KNIGHT isn't."

(note: what I think I remember saying was that we wonder all the time why Buffy
is so popular in that it has a larger audience than FOREVER KNIGHT... THough I
was so tired when I did the interview, I probably did say what she said I did.
<g>)

..."And ultimately, she said, 'it's not really the end of the world. It's just a
TV show.'"

Those are the highlights and the FK mentions. The article is very good, I
thought.

I was able to get back into the site and saved the article as a text file.

online site, contact me offlist.

. Or write two stories - one in which he does, one
in which he doesn't.

Several years ago Sue Garrett wrote 2 versions of the same story, exploring
the differences that changing one incident in the story could make in how
the story turned out. The stories are "assignment: Knight" and "A Knight in
Hell". I don't know if they're available on her site or not; I got my
copies in hard-copy in a zine called "Daydreams and Knightmares".

I think memory loss device could be used the same way and produce some
interesting results.

I'm sorry, but apparently the only sure way to keep from accidentally spoiling
the Buffy ending is to say not to talk about it on Forkni-l at all. This won't
be permanent, but until further notice, Forkni-l will not discuss anything to do
with the Buffy ending show.

Subject: Mortality again

As I sit here writing a story for the memory challenge
another question popped into my head:

When Nick first lost his memory it was because he was
shot in the head. We even got to see the x-rays on tv.
And apparently the bullet stayed in his brain.
Now with the vamp healing powers I can understand that
he can live with that. What if he became mortal
though? Would the bullet impair or eben kill him?

Scratching her head,

LUC
