The information I sent was for the Public School System About the mid
ninties to late nineties the curriculum was standardized across Ontario.
Before that the Toronto School Board dictated what and when things were
taught. However it is fairly safe to assume they probably followed
much the same guidelines.
However having said that It is quite likely that Jenny being catholic
goes to a Catholic School. We have two school systems in Ontario. the
separate, (catholic) and the public school system. (It is not compulsary
if you are catholic to go to a catholic school a lot of my catholic
friends didn't.
In which case there would be a more catholic slant to the teaching
of Sex education. they still have to teach it but they can stress a
different point of view.
and Of course It goes without saying that when Schanke and Myra went
to school sex education was not nearly as defined as it would appear to
be now. I don't remember it even being mentioned until high school .
