that. Autographed.

*tentatively joins in* I believe I also got a copy
from Jean, for a similiarly good deal. I have all
four, and I thought that was one of the better ones.
I may have thought it the best, but I haven't read
them in a while so I can't be 100% sure. ;)

I can imagine, though, it going high on eBay. I'll
admit that I would *not* have paid $100 for it--there
are very few things I'll go that high for. (Edward
Gorey first editions, rarer Breyer models, etc. Until
last month Meredith Ann Pierce's Firebringer trilogy
would have been on there, but they're being rereleased
in paperback and I can save myself $400.) But I can
see it happening. I think Libs paid a reasonable
price for the Ratsie Wot Kilt Screed, but please
remember, this is coming from someone who paid $70 for
a piece of the Mos Espa set from Star Wars: The
Phantom Menace. (Proceeds to Literacy Volunteers of
America.) At the same auction, my brother paid $220
for a unique hardbound copy of a novel-length Star
Wars fan fic with a painted cover by a well-regarded
fan artist. Fandom stuff can get REALLY up there,
especially when the money is going to a good cause and
you can justify it to yourself!

it alot the since I first got it, years ago)

bucks to spare then... Gah, my loss. oh well.

AS an illustration of what can happen when you combine an auction and
fans with money to burn, at LCA3 they were auctioning off some Nikita
props. One of them was a "bomb" -- a sort of Sno-Ball shaped gray
plastic thing, with a blue blinky light on it. You flip a switch and
the blue light blinks (the bomb is armed). It could be stuck to a flat
surface with a suction cup.

I thought, wow, that would be fun to have at work---stick it on my PC,
start the blinky light when things get boring. So I bid on it. The
price was stuck at about Can$20 and I was thinking, "Yay! I'm getting
this neat little prop!" when the auctioneer (I think it was Jon
Cassar) held it up and said, "Michael touched this."

Well! There went my cheap little souvenir. The mere thought that Roy
DuPuis, the star, had handled this little $2 lump of plastic, AAA
battery, and LED light sent the price skyrocketing well over $100.

So it goes! I love watching people spend outrageous amounts of money
at that auction. And sometimes I even get to take something home. :-)

I've seen copies out there for like 20 or 25 dollars
but haven't had the money.....maybe in another few
months. Go to http://www.advancedbookexchange.com and
do a search. I just checked amazon.com earlier and it
said 'out of stock'.

Mel, who'd really like to get a copy of OHG but
doesn't have that kind of money

You could try half.com. It is owned by ebay, but it is a set price
(usually discounted in some way) for used (or new) books, CDS and
videos.
I hae seen the books there in the past.

Subject: Question about PotM flashback

Hey-
I was just checking out the timeline at Loftworks.com and for the
Potm flashback it says Italy or Germany - is there a definite
consensus? For a story I just wrote I needed it to be in Vienna.
Would that be ok per canon? (I mean it is close geographically and
the dress would be just about the same... )
Thanks!

The list seems to be pretty quiet today.

Yeah, the list has been really quiet. How about a question? Ummm... How many
of you actually liked the portrait that Nick had of the man screaming? What
is your favorite thing about the loft, the Raven, the precinct, ect...

As for mine.. I hated the portrait!!
The loft- the piano and remotes.
The Raven- the bar.
The precinct- a tossup, Nick & Schanke's desks

I'll be too busy for the next couple of days to catch my mail, but hopefully
it will get some conversation started( My Mom is having her baby! This makes
three. I'll be watching my little sister, along with my son)

Favorite things...

   definitely the fireplace mantle

those hanging chains from the first two seasons
> The precinct-
ummm, lets seee.....does Natalie's office count...
Yeah, I know it isn't actually the precinct perse...
but is it sn official police type thing

And yes, I did like the scream painting... works well above the
fridge to deter him from possibly drinking the blood, like some
people put a photo of themselves on the fridge when they're on a
diet.<g>

Ok I should get back to work now.

Okay, the protrait, I don't remember seeing it. The loft is interesting and
yet a puzzle with a few pieces missing. The Raven, not my scene, I'm a
country girl at heart. It's way too quiet out here lately.

Greetings,

As you all know, Sci-fi returned Forever Knight to their line-up April 1,
2002 and, this time, only aired the show 1 year. Sci-fi was giving people a
chance to discover Forever Knight and also reawaken old fans, but they have
canceled it again, at least for now. The fans must take action on this. It's
time to let Sci-fi know now, more than ever, we are truly grateful for their
airings of Forever Knight. Request *politely* that Sci-fi air Forever Knight
again soon and while you're at it, mention your interest for a return movie
with original cast as well.

Write to: program@w....... and/or feedback@w.......

Also, e-mail scifiweekly@scifi.com to express your thoughts and have a
chance to appear in their weekly newsletter read by 1,000's!

I have also found Sci-fi's phone #, in which you can actually talk to real
people. Here is the #:

Thomas Vitale
Senior Vice President of Acquisitions,

I hope you all will participate in this. Remember, it takes a large fanbase
and hard work to get what we want. The Forever Knight fans must show Sci-fi
that we exist, appreciate what they have done, and that we still would love
more of this terrific series. If you are international, please still e-mail
Sci-fi, because if we are granted a return movie, I am sure you will have a
way to see it also. If any of you get decent responses or important news
please e-mail me at: kris1228@e.......

On another note, FK has really dropped in its position at the
