My submission- How many Mercs does it take to change a lightbulb? How many
did you pay for? (or alternately) How much chocolate are you offering?

why? because we never take on a job if we're not getting paid for it!
Also, virtual chocolate is a good payment offer.

Along these lines, I remember there was a post years ago (which I do
not now have) where a clever list member wrote 'Why did the chicken
cross the road?' themed ditties for the different FK characters. Maybe
if someone has this archived, they could share it anew.

I also remember hearing the 'How many Nunkies Anonymous members does
it take to change a light bulb?' question before. I think the best
answer was:

None. Nunkies changes the light bulb, while all the Addicts try to
peek up his toga.

As for 'How many Vaqs does it take to change a light bulb?'...Vaqs
change a lightbulb? Why do you think the Church has so many candles???

Mel wrote various things about bumper stickers and no trespassing signs-

Mercs' bumper stickers: Will Prank for Chocolate. It's a fine line between
profit and fun. Mayhem and Chocolate- My work here is done.

The Mercs' no trespassing signs: Traspassers will be locked in a room with
the Ratpack and forced to listen to the concept album of GHP Laurie
MercBard's "Forever Knight: The Musical" as sung by The GHP herself.

[snip] "hm...Cousins: Trespassers will become Uncle's midnight snack?"
Wait, isn't that something that a number of the Cousins would *want* to have
happen to them? Or at least some of the NA or others? It wouldn't deter
them in that case... *evil grin*

Hi there,
For a while, I've been curious about one thing. If Ger hadn't intervened on
CD's behalf to keep the character of Natalie, how were the producers, and
writers of FK going to dispose of her at the beginning of Season 3? Were they
planning on killing her off like Schanke and Cohen? Or were they intending to
have her leave like Janette for a better position in Pathology? <g>
Something else? Does anyone know?
Also, without Natalie, were they planning on having another doctor to help Nick
find a cure? Or were the writers just going to have quick, metaphysical fixes
for him to try every once in a while?

That reminds me of something I wrote for a Babylon 5/Forever
Knight crossover I once started (and may never finish). Dr.
Franklin and Commander Ivanova put up a sign on warehouse within
the station in which they were hiding fugitive telepaths and,
this being an FK crossover, several vampires, a sign that read
"This warhouse is private property. Trespassers will be eaten.
Have a nice day."

Ahm, do you mean Lucius/Lucien LaCroix? The character isn't playing a demon or
a vampire. He _is_ a vampire. In the Korever Knight universe, the vampires are
not demons, the way they are on Buffy.

If Nigel was meant, he's an actor. He doesn't get to pick the names of the
characters he plays.

I have heard before that they wanted to get rid of Natalie and what Ger said,
but i had no idea they were considering a romance between Nick and Tracy. I
can't imagine the two of them together...and i'm an imaginative person, lol.

Megan said: <snip> my first thought upon seeing Schanke was "Wait a minute,
where's Tracy? Who is this putz?" It took me a while to get use to him.

I too started watching when the 3rd season began. The way Black Buddha
starts out, i immediately felt like i had missed something, but didn't have
any idea that other seasons existed. It was love at first sight for me with
FK because i loved vampires, but when i saw the first two seasons, i grew to
love the show as a show and not just a vampire one. (that makes sense,
right?)

I probably should have mentioned this the last time i posted. i'm not new to
the list, i changed my e-mail address. I use to be janette1228@h.......
(that account is now set to no mail.) I was always a lurker for the most
part, so i doubt anyone recognizes me, except my friends on this list and, of
course, lindy cooksey. Since i don't have your e-mail, and my old account is
no mail: if you're reading this, you could at least return my check since you
won't send me those tapes. While it wasn't for that much, you're messing up
my checking account. *sigh*

Well it would take a bunch of knighties to comfort Nick through the
guilt of having let the original light bulb burn out to begin with.

(Oh my god, I can't beleive I said that! I LOVE Nick and love the
angst!)

named both Captain Stonetree and Captina Reese Joe? (By the way,
if anyone has a clue what the *real reason was, could you email

ARGH! Apologies! I was trying to respond to the questions and was told by
yahoo to tab/enter when making paragraph starts. Obviously, they haven't gotten
the bugs out of their mailer yet as it Sent instead. >_< urf!

1. The Cousins of the Knight would never see the Light again. (My... that
sounds like something a vampire would say to his/her victim..) Anyway, each
side of the group would insist that it was the others turn to change the bulb so
why should they be inconvenienced? Besides, hopefully (for the Knightie side)
Nick would show sympathy and come over for a visit to the Comfy Cottage and
change it for us. Likely, this would be at the instigation of the Cousins who
induced a guilt trip on him, but I wouldn't protest this. Heeheee.

2. Joe.. Hmm... Maybe Mr. Vetter likes that name and insists all prospective
Captains adopt it?

No, I don't have two versions of the same fic. Mine is the incomplete version
with 6 parts (each about three or four printed-out pages in length, or 9 to 14
KB). I've never seen Man from UNCLE, so I wouldn't write a MfUNCLE/FK Xover. And
I wouldn't use a title twice. I've got too many titles swimming around in my
head for songs, fanfic and stuff to do that.

You're not senile, just corn-foosed. ::grins and pokes you lightly::

Hope this helps!

Really? I didn't know that one. Good heavens! What were they
trying to do with our show in the third season? Why didn't
they just go ahead and make a new show instead of taking an
already good one and mutilating it?

BTW, For anyone who is interested in this topic (changes in
the third season, the reasons behind them and the fans’
reactions) I discuss this issue in the last part of my
Forever Knight Subculture essay-- Shades of activism: the
removal of feminist models in the third season and the fans’
real war against TPTB
