Here's my response from Columbia House.

Thank you for your e-mail message.
Thank you for that wonderful enquiry, currently we do not plan to
release the television series 'Forever Knight'. But as soon as we
come up with something in releasing Forever Knight series we will
certainly let you know.
If we may be of further service, please let us know.
Sincerely,
Misty Finch

It seems as if people are actually reading and responding to these
since everyone is getting a different response. This could be turned
into a strategy (evil grin)
Although my answer doesn't seem to promising. :(

My answer wasn't good either. I won't bother to quote it, but it said if
Columbia House ever wishes to release FK on DVD, it will be listed on their
website. It was signed by a Kevin Blade from Customer Service. Oh well.

I was told pretty much the same thing, but it does sound like FK might
be available at a future date. It also sounds like Columbia House
isn't giving their customer service reps any details, which might
explain the canned responses.

Quoting from my response, complete with bad grammar:

"Currently we cannot provide you with the exact date when Forever
Knight sci-fi be available however the details will be listed on our
website when it is available."

I didn't want to say anything when this first started up on the list a few
days ago, but I know the S&H list continually was given the run-around by
CH. They frankly have *terrible* (TERRIBLE!) customer service, and their
right hand never knows what the left hand is doing. I don't even think the
right hand even knows it's attached to the body.... <shakes head in disgust>

Subject: questions and observations

Yesterday, the snow having closed my school, I stayed home and
eventually decided to rewatch my tape of Dead Issue and Hunters.
I thought I'd share some of the thoughts that ran throught my
mind while I was doing so.
      Dead Issue
--Let me get this straight: the Fiores have an apartment, a house
*and* a summer cottage?
--Didn't anyone wonder at the crime scene about the fact that the
corpse was half-naked?
--What was it about Lynn Fiore at that moment that reminded him
about Ilsa? If it was just her overwhelming guilt that he
noticed, she should have reminded him of himself.
--Are we really sure that the painter was Heironymous Bosch?
Because it has always struck me as odd that the writers would
accuse someone so famous, even posthumously, of rape.
--When Nat got up to get Nick the shake, it hit me that, while
common consensus, both in discussion and in fanfic, seems to be
that her clothes are not only less fancy then Janette's but also
more modest, that skirt was *really* short. I might need to
rewatch a few other eps (assuming I ever have time) to see if she
shows that much leg the rest of the time.
                 Hunters
--Was it my imagination, or did sleeps-like-a-bat girl get back
to the club *after* sunrise? How do you think she hangs like that
anyhow?
--And does one of Janette's houseguests really sleep in a coffin?
Boy, are these young ones into the cliches.
--Does Nick really expect anyone to believe his explanation for
not remembering his own DOB?

I'm beginning to think that the real hidden cause behind our lack of getting
professional tapes or dvd's is that the Enforcers are too paranoid to allow it.

Well, why not? They seem to be fairly well off. The apartment could be a
small place in downtown Toronto (to cut the commute for Mr. Fiore, or
for evenings when he has to work late), the house is in the 'burbs
(quite a distance from downtown), and the "cottage" is actually just a
run-down old RV permanently parked on the side of a lake somewhere in
northern Ontario. (A peculiarity of Canadian English, perhaps?)

> --What was it about Lynn Fiore at that moment that reminded him

If I remember right, it was because her guilt was caused by her
disturbing sexual behaviour, and further increased by a punitive &
controlling man in her life.

It happens all the time. For example, many famous figures have been
accused, posthumously, of being Jack the Ripper.

Yep, Nat dresses conservatively *except* for the length of her skirts.

Magnetic soles on her footwear? Or perhaps she likes to hover upside
down, to improve her flying skills?

> And does one of Janette's houseguests really sleep in a coffin?

"We get the occasional fetishist"--vampires can have fetishes too! :-)

> Does Nick really expect anyone to believe his explanation for
> not remembering his own DOB?

Hey, it worked for me! :-) I think it's probably important to have a
half-way credible explanation rather than to get caught with no
explanation at all. A lot of people believe stuff that just doesn't
stand up to careful examination . . . that's the basis of many frauds,
hoaxes, and urban legends, not to mention racism, sexism, etc.

Your very humble & most obedient servant,
Ligeia
