Just wondering, but is there any way that we can order this online?

Wow, this is amazing. Congrats, Libs.

>>I had to use Nick and LaCroix (also Natalie). Uhr...
Actually, I didn't actually use them as it is a parody so the
names have been changed.<<

But it is about FK, right? I mean, like about a redemption
seeking vampire in Toronto and his tall, sexy master and his
personal pathologist, right? Or did you have to change their
names, like for example, to Angel and Cordelia, move them to
LA, and turn the bad old vamp into a skinny blonde?

Screed would'a looked good in comic though, me thinks :)=

Do I misremember entirely, or isn't there a 3rd season episode somewhere where
Vachon is quoting lines from the film "Chinatown"? (Or was it something from
"The China Syndrome"?)

I thought maybe it was in "My Boyfriend is a Vampire," but the lines he's
mumbling to Tracy while the Jerry Show camera crew films from the van are from
"The Maltese Falcon." ("Looks like the deal went south. The fat man had his
gunzel ice Thursby, then he took off with the bird!" And when Tracy says,
"Where's the bird now?" Vachon answers, "On his way to Cairo!" Definitely "The
Maltese Falcon.")

Soooooo, what other movies does Vachon quote? And where?

I think you're thinking of Schanke quoting from "Chinatown" in "Cherry
Blossoms." He says something like, "Yeah. You gotta remember--it's
Chinatown." Or words to that effect. I haven't watched the ep for a
while.

I'll answer this on-line...

I'm not sure. They do have a webpage, and I'm sure any comic book source
on-line should be able to order it. However, when it gets closer to press
time and I have a firm date, I'll ask the publisher.

I want to pre-warn that the publisher is VERY strict about no fanfic with
Shanda characters due to trademark legalities, and I am with my comic book
characters. So although we know it'd be against FKFIC rules, I just want to
pre-warn that the publisher wants NO fanfic on his characters under any
circumstances.

You'll just have to wait and see, won't ya. hehehe ;-)

I will say that one of the other ideas was a Buffy the Vampire Slayer parody
(a lot of the Atomic Mouse stories are parodies), but the publisher seemed to
like the idea I submitted for FK better.

Screed would'a looked good in comic though, me thinks :)=

Of course I have no idea what the characters will look like, I will say that
one of the character "descriptions" I submitted would suit Screed even though
it was another character I was using. I started thinking the description
would fit either even though in real life they look nothing alike<wRPg>

Subject: do me a favor?

Hi all! This is my first time posting to the list, but I've been lurking for
some time now. Anyway, I'm writing because I need some help, and know that
there are people here who are both willing and able do so. i.e., they have a
much greater knowledge of FK than I.

First, a question. Does Natalie know Spanish? (I mostly mean per canon, but
if there is an accepted stance on the question in fanfic, I'd like to know
that too.)

second, the favor. Is there anyone interested in beta-reading an ADULT
Lonely Hearts story I'm working on for the Raven Awards? I know that it is
short notice, and you wouldn't have much turn around time, but I got a really
late start on it. If so, email me offlist at meredevachon@c........

Thanks everybody!
I'll go back to lurking now.

I know that because of the laws at the time, FK actors,
any actors in Canadian-made series of the time get no
royalties from the rebroadcast of the show(s). What
I'd like to know is if Sony decides to release FK on
DVD and/or tape, will the actors get any part of that?

My guess is that it would depend on their contract. Although I do know one of
the actors, I wouldn't dream of asking him as it is a bit personal. But I think
it'd just entirely depend... It is possible that those things were settled when
they were cast in the show.

I remember a comment made in one of the panel discussions at either
LCA 2 or 3 that one major difference between US and Canadian actors is
that Canadian actors have 5 years of royalties built into their initial
salaries. After 5 years, their contracts dictate whether they get
additional royalties. Does anyone else remember that discussion?
