Subject: FK at Philcon

If there are any FK fans in the Philadelphia area there will be an FK
party/fannish get together at Philcon this weekend.  Actually there will be 2
FK events there. On Friday at 11PM a meeet-and-greet for fans of the show to
meet each other (good way for folsk on THe List to get to see who they've been
writing to!) and on Saturday at 3pm Dragon's LAire Studio (the folks who have
been doing the FK parody tapes + FK radio dramas) will be performing and they'll
have a table in the dealers room selling their stuff plus other FK items such as
fanzines and tv-tie in merchandise.

I'll be at the con all weekend as part of their science + technology track. I
had a book publishe din 2002 "Build YOur OWn Combat Robot" and I'll be there
signing that and hanging out (mostly in the dealer's room with the Dragon's
Laire crew!)

Attention Cousins, Knighties, and ALL Fans of FK in
general!

   As Ronni (Ron the Enforcer) mentioned in the
pervious E-mail there will be an FK meet and greet at
Philcon starting at 11pm Friday night. I just wanted
to add that Vickie Holt, author of "Vengeance is Mine"
(a fabulous FK drama I might add) will be there with
copies of her Fanzine/novel. We will also be taking
pre-orders for our up-coming dramatic audio
presentation of "Vengeance is Mine" at the show.
Dragon's Lair Studios has worked out a deal with Miss
Holt to offer her book together with the pre-order of
the CD or Cassette audio drama (which will be over
THREE HOURS in length - WOW!) at a special price only
for guests of Philcon!  Come out and meet all the cast
as well as the author!

New to this site? Read the below...

I have just discovered a new place that actually specializes in getting TV
shows on DVD. This is definitely not a place to ignore. Here's a little info
about the site:

The purpose of the site is to get more TV shows released on DVD.
How do they plan to pull it off? Well, they plan on having a working
relationship with the studios. The site has users who come and register on
it (for free) and show interest in their favorite TV shows. They then let
the studios know how many people want to see the shows they own released on
DVD, and how they want them (season sets, best of, or individual episodes).
Once the studios can see the interest in their product they will strongly
consider releasing more TV product on DVD.

This site has already helped lots of other shows get to DVD and Forever
Knight can be found on their voting list.

Let's get this rank higher, shall we? Go to this address and register to

I did this, thanks, Kristin!

I notice "Angel" is in 6th place and Tracker (with GWD in some 8 of 22 eps)
is way down the list.  Angel is obviously coming out in 2003; Tracker is
listed as "TBA," but they do have a picture and all <g>.  I wish TPTB for
Forever Knight would get with it and release it for us!  Gee, and it is still
in 3rd place, one has to wonder.....

Can't make up my mind on this for a story I'm working on, so I thought I'd
throw it out for people to discuss.

If, after Janette becomes a vampire again after Human Factor, she has an
opportunity to go back to being a mortal, and nobody has to die this time,
would she take it?

I can see it both ways, which is why I'm stuck.

I would say "no." The Janette in HF was way out of character. While she was
softening some in season 2, she was never that mushy to fall in love with
some random mortal so easily and wind up mortal. It's just not like her and
what happened to her sense of style? Geese... it was her evil twin sister in
Human Factor... LOL!

Quoting "The Fix" (season 2): Nick wants to share his temp "cure" with
Janette and she responds with:

"Don't ever assume I am like you Nichola. I am not ashamed of who I am."

See, it's "diseasing, ageing, and death" to her to become mortal. Anyway, no
is my answer. Don't take the HF Janette too seriously. While it was nice
seeing her in season 3, it really was not like her character to become
"that" good.
