.As I recall forever Knight was rather unique in its day in that it
dared to use real Toronto locations. Until recently programs filmed
in Canada just didn't take place in Canada. The reasoning behind this
decision was that no one outside of Canada would ever want to watch a
program that took place in a Canadian city.

Having said that there is a lot of filming going on here. Some of it
even came to my neighbourhood. Last summer Whoopie Goldberg filmed the
movie (Good Fences) for Showtime right around the corner from where I live.
I watched the filming on the first day between rain drops. (After two
months of no rain it suddenly decided to rain. which meant they had to set
up canopes for the actors to work under) I was told that they picked
our area because they wanted a house and street that would fit into the
1980's time frame of their movie and I guess look like a town in the United
States.

Then a week later another company filmed a commercial on another street.
near me. I don't know what the commercial was for. All I know is that they
spray painted about several lawns a very strange colour of green. so I
assume whatever it was it must have had something to do with lawns.

Just about any park downtown, unfortunately (although not at this time of year).
Allan Gardens is one
(you see it at the beginning of Bad Blood) or St James Park (beside St James
Cathedral, which was
used as St John's in For i Have Sinned, are two possibilities.

You got it absolutely right, Laurie. It is based on the lunar
calendar and so it moves around throughout the year. It's
kind of confusing too. I remember when I was in grade school,
we had to wait by the TV to see if they announced that
someone has witnessed the crescent moon, which would have
meant the next day was Eid al-Fitr and a holiday. One or two
times, I ended up studying the whole day only to find out
later that night that schools were closed the next day.

Sunny-- who doesn't have the Muslim beliefs but has lived in
a Muslim country.

While fighting the traffic in the Wal-Mart parking lot yesterday, I
took my place in the line of cars circling like shark for the next
parking place. Just in front of me? I car with the license plate
VAMPYRE. I found myself trying to figure out who's car it was by the
silhouette of the head. I decided it must have been Nick, hair was
too short for Natalie and too long for Lacroix. Anyway, I let them
park first...
