I have the digests now, Micki was kind enough to
send them along.

Yes, that's LaCroix' shop. He's gone into business
with Franklin Madsen from "Dead Again". They
met a "Men With British Accents and Sonorous
Voices Who Use Hypnosis For Nafarious Purposes"
seminar and just clicked. (g)

This Question may be a stupid one but ... . In Near Death. Natalie sent
Schanke to get Rat poison, a spoon and a candle.
What did Natalie do with the candle?. I have always been curious.

It is entirely possible that I never reset myself to receive
listmail when I came back from a two week trip on
the 2nd. Because I had lots to catch up on, and was
receiving FKFIC-L posts which I had not set nomail,
it took me this long to realize something was missing.
I just assumed I had reset FORKNI-L along with
my Yahoogroups lists.

Yes, I am a doofus.

melted the rat poison so that it was in liquid form (it comes granular) so
that she could inject it... at least that's my gouda guess...........

Whereas Nick clearly believed that he was being thoughtful by giving her her
privacy.
And, of course, she could have asked him to stay.....

Another failure to communicate--which has nothing to do with his being a
vampire and her being a mortal. <gr>

I am guessing, but I think she used it to heat up the concocotion she made,
much like (forgive me for this) one would before injecting heroin or some
other such not-so-terrific-thing (ick, shudder.....).

She would need to do that for the rat poison to dissolve properly and
distribute evenly in a liquid, and the heat causes a faster chemical
reaction.

Hope that helps. :::shudders some more!!::::::

Yesterday after I realized what a dingbat I had been,
I also remembered about the FORKNI-L Archive
Site. I figure the newer folk might not know about it so
I thought I'd mention that since the PSU Listserv has no
archiving facility, Knight Wind has been most kindly
archiving the FORKNI-L daily digests since July
2000. I have been having a great time reading up on
what I missed while away on my trip, and since I came
back but my brain didn't. <g> I just want to thank
Knight Wind for maintaining this very valuable FK
resource.

The FORKNI-L Archive is at:

That's funny, I don't remember being absent minded.

Interesting. I do wish the show's writers had actually shown her making it.
At least, I don't remember seeing that in the ep. Would've been nice to see,
even if it was implied. It does give us more into Nat's character. The fact
that she figured out how to make it on the spot like that shows how intelligent
she really is. <g>

OH, I agree, Emily!

I don't remember seeing her do it either, I was working from basic chemistry
and all-too-familiarity with Chemical Dependency patients <erg!>. Certainly,
Natalie's character is intelligent, and showing her doing it would have given
us more insight. just hate "implied" stuff, one has to assume, and you know
what *that* means, LOL.

At the end of season 2, instead of giving it to LaCroix,
Janette sells the deed to the Raven to a certain
environmentally conscious carouche, who buys the club
with his aluminum can recycling money, and turns the
Raven into Toronto's only 24 hour swap mart.

Anybody else want to play?
