HI . . . I don't think the cop looked in the wine bottle
for any more reason then basic curisity
She was brought in to nick's place & told to "Snoop"

If you're looking for a secret "stash" you have to dig
Cops are constatly looking for drugs & things that are hidden

I'm supprised anyone bought his excuse of "paint thickener"

Even if they belived him, wouldn't someone be a little creeped out,
and maybe ask him where he got the blood?

I can just picture some other cop wanting to paint & asking nick for any
tips

LOL. I can actually see that happening. Scary thought though. Could you
imagine that little chat.

Police Officer - Hey can I borrow some of that bottled blood from you, you
see, I'm taking an art class and my teacher wanted to see how well it
works...

Nick - No. Go away. *turns back and quickly walks away from officer*

Officer - Well that went well...I think.

I know pretty stupid, but it just jumped into my head. Sorry 'bout that
folks!

<snip>

<snurt> Here's my mental movie...

Cop: "Say, Nick, can you give me some painting tips? I'm interesting in that
thickening thing you do, you know, with the blood? My latest canvas is
impressionistic, and my teacher says that maybe using an impasto technique would
work better. So I need thicker paint."

Nick: "Sure. Of course, you're grinding your own paint, right?"

Cop: "Huh?"

Nick: "Grinding your own colors, you know, grinding the minerals in a morter and
mixing them with oil to make the paint."

Cop: "Uh, no, I buy tubes down at the art supply store."

Nick: "Oils?"

Cop: "Uh-uh, acrylics. They told us to use acrylics, because they dry faster and
you can clean them up with plain water."

Nick (hautily): "You know, real artists use oils. And make their own paints --
and stretch their own canvases. The blood thing doesn't work with acrylics."
(mutters under breath) "Acrylics. Geesh, no one does anything the right way
anymore."

Cop: "*Real* artists? This from the guy who keeps painting suns my five-year-old
could do in his sleep? I'll give you real artists! And hey, good luck with the
murder charge! Maybe they'll send you to a prison with a nice little recreation
room, and you'll be able to keep painting those stupid suns. Oh, wait--they only
have acrylics at the prison. Too bad." (walks away muttering) "Gee, try to be
nice to a guy..."

So I was watching IWR again, and getting lovely goosebumps (great ep for
hot vampire action!) when I noticed an English-Lit kind of thing going
on in the script. In the first part of the show, Nat says that they used
to call Richard the "white knight". Hmm, thought I: Rick=white knight,
Nick=black knight?

Not a particularly deep observation, but I thought it was worth sharing.

Does anyone have a tape of the episode of Once a Theif that both Nigel and John
appeared in? I can barely get it in on my tv's antenna, but not on the vcr's.
Please?!! It's quite a good ep, John's acting quite like Schanke, and Nigel,
Nicholas Love on the show, is veeeerrrry General-esque :P I have *got* to have
this ep so, anyone out there have it?

btw- sorry if I'm a bit hard to understand, it's after midnight here and I've
been taking sinus meds and am a little... loopy, so if there are mistakes in
this message, blame the sudafed!

It also had Greg "Screed" Kramer in it ;-) He's a recurring actor on the show.

I do have it, and thought I'd let everyone know I can dub. HOWEVER, I'm
rehearsing a play that is a week behind schedule due to casting changes,
which means I go from work to the theater and then hopefully I get a few
hours sleep before going back to work. *snore*

I'm happy to dub, but it might take me a while to get things done.

I tuned in late, but before long I saw a familiar pair of icy blue eyes

Does anyone have any thoughts about the tail end of
Let No Man Tear Asunder? I'm kinda wondering myself
why she avoided that last kiss...Nick looked a bit
upset or annoyed, but not overly so....like that it
gets to him to a point, but that he's also used to her
doing things like that at times...I was just curious
as to whether or not anyone else had any thoughts.

While I'm at it, I see what whoever that was meant
about Tracy always ending up the victim...but anyways,
this was a good ep, though another that should have a
Natpackers' warning attached LOL.

of Nick when I heard the opening, y'know...'faster

powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall
buildings in a single bound..." I ended up drawing a
funny but bad (I can't draw people that well) cartoon
of the two of them over the city of Toronto and Nick
saying "Hey, this is my city!"

As far as was told, Ger had a really bad cold during the filming of that
episode and her dodging the kiss was her way of not catching it. so I believe
it was a blooper? that was left in..

Someone did write a fic about that scene

reel.

I thought we only had the second season "The thing we do not have." There's a
third season one out among the fans?

The third season one was unearthed and shown at LCA last
year, and it's scheduled to be shown again this year.
(Or is it first season? I can't remember right now!)
Anyway, it's not in general circulation.

Yet. <g>

At this point I've been on the list long enough to have the LCA
mentioned a coupple of times and I was wondering what it was. I'm
thinking that it's a con, but I've never heard of it before and am
currious about the whens and wheres.

If this is one of those things that everyone knows about and I'm
just behind the times contact me off list. If this isn't common
knowledge then maybe the list would appreciate it.

LCA stands for Lights Camera Auction and is a charity auction held in
Toronto. They're great fun if you can go. I've been to two and it was a
great experience.

I thought it must be Ger's cold when the episode was first broadcast. In
those days several of us had JP's e-address, so I asked him. Aside from the
fact that he was executive producer, his wife wrote the script. He said no,
the duck was played as written. It was scripted that way.
