Which means that despite any vamps best effort, they would have inexorably
been drawn by it, even though their intention was to watch something else .

This has always been one of my favorite episodes, because my mother was a drama
major and always talked about acting techniques when something like this came
up. (No she doesn't know about FK. She'd freak.) Anyway, I just keep thinking
over and over, 'Jeez, this must have been a fun episode to shoot! I wonder how
many times they had to re-do that sceen to make it realisitc?'
As for the words, I rewound the tape a dozen times until I understood what was
being said. If the script isn't anywhere, I could hunt up my tape and write
them down.

I watched SoB when it played during the marathon.
I noticed something in the last scene at Van Der Wahl's
that I hadn't before, and I couldn't stop giggling. Who
knew the Crusades had a dental plan?

It's 'Bourbon,' and he appears in the flashbacks of 'My Boyfriend Is A Vampire'
and 'Hearts of Darkness.' Nothing is established in the series as to whether
Bourbon is alive in the present day/night. The description of the character in
the 3rd season bible is: "BOURBON - French. A 16th century Musketeer. Arrogant.
Does arbitrage now. A complete asshole."

I have a few old screen captures at
http://www.geocities.com/~br1035/fk/crew.html and one Bourbon sound file at
http://www.geocities.com/~br1035/fk/sounds/sounds.html

I haven't seen much Bourbon fanfic. He appears in Bonnie Pardoe's 'Sangria,'
I.B. Screed's 'In Me Own Words,' and gets lots of coverage in my 'Words and
Meaning.' All of these fanfics are available at http://www.screedwashere.com. I
also used him in 'Survivors.' He's really one of my favorite minor FK characters
to use, along with Thomas, Francesca, Feliks Twist and, of course, The
Inka/Inca.

<G> Mr. Wyn Davies has no fillings...at least on top.

Now, would one of the historians on the list please educate us about
dental hygiene of the early to mid 1200s? Would he, as an upper class
lord, have had the possibility of having all his teeth in good
condition, or would this be something that the 'vampire virus' would
cure when he was brought over? He would be depending on his teeth for
the rest of his un-life...

With the camera angle on Ger as he's strapped to the
table being from the POV of above his feet, you get
a lovely view of some rather anachronistic dental
work. Maybe instead of having their teeth restored
when they're brought across, vampirism just gives
them fillings. <g>

I'm rewatching 'Dance By The Light of The Moon' when it hit me - the manager of
Jilly's Exotic Dancing is played by the actor who is Harold Green on 'Red
Green' - Patrick McKenna! And confirming it on IMDB, apparently he's in 'Spin
Doctor' too! Golly!

Maybe this is the Ratpack's secret duct tape connection...

I wrote a story with Bourbon as the bad guy---it's called "Deadly Stakes" and

I have a copy of the script, but I don't know what part exactly you're referring
to. Give me a lead-in line from Lacroix or Vanderwahl, and I'll be happy to tell
you what the script says.

I was not able to understand this particular part either, but I did find a
quote from a site some time ago:

"De Brabant has been many people, all of them murderers. They are inside,
restrained by some sickening moral conscience. They want to be released,
they want to kill again."

That's the main part I didn't fully understand until reading it on the
internet.

Hi everyone!

"Embrace the Darkness," my Dark Knightie page, has been re-vamped! Just
click the new banner for it off my main index. I hope you like the new
design and, as always, feedback is welcome (please sign the guestbook). I
also created a new Nick wallpaper, called "Feel the Darkness" to fit the
theme of this update.

I have plans to re-vamp the Immortal Beloved page soon as well.

<<Sons of Belial
I watched this morning and once again think that Mr. Wyn Davies is just
a bit TOO good an actor. I always feel a bit antsy with his portrayal of
demon possession.
I have been unable to understand what he is saying when LaCroix takes
him to be exorcised. He speaks so quickly that I can't keep up. Does
anyone have the script and would be willing to either e-mail me that
part off list, or tell me where I can find it on the internet? I thought
I had the scripts on-line, but I can't find them.>>

This is one of my all time favorite episodes.

It was done so good, I think I've watched it 109 times. The way they do
the exorcism gives me goosebumps, the flashing back and forth from past
to present, it crescendos. Love the episode.

But you can't rely *too* closely on FK closed captioning <g>. I've spotted
some highly amusing goofs. My personal favorite: In the opening scene of
Dead Issue, where the lovers are groping and gasping, the woman says, "Last
one [gasp] undressed is [gasp] a rotten sardine." The original line is
silly enough--does anyone besides me find the concept of rotten sardines to
be rather less than erotic?--but the closed caption declares: "Last
one...I'm dressed as a rotten sardine."

Now, of course, I can't watch the ep without imagining the character in a
sardine costume...think land sharks (for those of us old enough to remember
Saturday Night Live when it was still funny...)

Lol, the first time I saw the name on a list of actors
who'd been on FK I immediately thought "Harold!" But
I never knew who he played. Now I'll have to dig out
my tape and watch it again! (Darn, what a sacrifice.
;) )

Hee...oh, yes, that's right, it's the 27th...tonight I
go see Steve Smith (Red Green himself) live and
in-person for the Mt. Pleasant, MI showing of "Red
Gree: Duct Tape Forever!" Better break out the
flannel and Red Green fishing vest. (Our local PBS
was #4 in the country during the Red Green pledge
drive, and as one of the top ten, we get a showing
with a personal appearance. (Okay, so I didn't pledge
here. I pledged down in DC to Maryland Public
Television--didn't even managed to break the top 30.
People in DC just have no appreciation for the finer
nuances of Red Green.)

Thanks to everyone who has helped me on this. The part I couldn't
understand was:

N: [whispering urgently] I have revived, revived the vampire's taste.
I have revived the vampire's taste for death. All this goodness in
him, it has been driven out. I will be with him forever. [He lunges
up, but LaCroix grabs him and holds him down. He goes back and forth
between present and past.]

Now that I know what was said, it adds a new dimension to his
possession, as well as why Natalie's influence had the effect it did.

> The way they do
>the exorcism gives me goosebumps,

That's the part that bothers me. They did it a bit too well. It
scared me the first time I saw it, especially knowing that Mr. Wyn
Davies is the son of a minister.

I'm appreciating the episode more now, but I'll admit that there are
others I enjoyed more.
