I remember reading several way back in the day <g>, but for the life of me,
I can't remember the titles. I know there were quite a few "Nat as an
Immie" stories that were pre LK too.

I did send Kimmer an answer, but this does bring up
a question for any one. After seeing this ep for the
upteenth time, I think I finaly may have figured out
what happened. I could never decide before, just how
far Nick had gotten in to the cult. I think now that
the promise it gave, lured him in and it was the jolt
he got from seeing Nat inside and the following
flashback that brought him to his senses (so to
speak). Now my question is, how much did the drug
influence him if at all? Any ideas? Phylis.

I think he might have been taken in at first; the cult mentality-- the idea
that you have been somehow granted the privilege of being part of something
extraordinary-- can be highly seductive. _Especially_ if you have no
contact with people that _don't_ beleive the sales pitch-- you loose
perspective. But the realization that the 'sun patches' were laced with
drugs would have had a sobering effect-- that the whole thing really _was_ a
hoax to rob people. Thats when the whole thing was over.
My dos centavos.

Urp, yes. Well, I guess I'd better either finish it, or at least start
posting it.

I can't remember the authors, but I've come across a few similar xovers in the
A-C authors. Sorry that doesn't help much, but it does *kind* of narrow it
down. <shrug>

Did anyone else catch John Kapelos as the dead body on last night's
CSI? Too bad we didn't get to see much of him. Still, it was a cool part.

Darn! JK was the dead police captain? I watched CSI and
didn't even realize it. Gotta pay closer attention when
it's rerun...

delurking...
I received a strange, garbled message a few minutes ago that I would normally
disregard as a virus (the entire message was just mixed up characters).
However it was supposedly sent from a "kwhelton" and I'm almost 100% positive
we have a... yes, a Kathy Whelton (!- my memory's not an entire casualty!) on
the list, who is rather prolific, IIRC. So I thought *maybe* she was trying to
send out a message that didn't come through. Not having her email, and in case
anyone else received the same, I thought I'd post this notice here. If Kathy
hasn't done any such thing, I apologize, and you may return to your normally
scheduled flashback.

Hi everyone!

Okay, I don't know how many of you remember me, but I was on the list quite a
while back. My name is Becky, and I'm rejoining the Cousin faction... of
course, I tend to have slight Valentine tendencies.... It *used* to be the
other way around, but I have seen the light... er, the darkness I mean. ;o)

To cut a long story short, I ended up with no internet for a while, and I've
been busily making lemonade with the lemons life has handed me.

I'm now a mommy to a beautiful baby girl, Kayla Nicole (and yes, that *is*
where part of the inspiration for her name came from... Thomas just happened
to agree with how it sounded ;o) and she's part of what has kept me from
resigning onto the list. Strange, but she's got these blue blue eyes and
blondish hair, and her godmother wants to nickname her "Nikki". :o>

Well, I'm going back to lurking for a bit. I'm trying to get back into the
groove. Have I missed anything REALLY important? Any new announcements?
Wars? Anything at all?

Thanks for reading if you made it through my rambling, and I'm SO glad to be
back!

:o)
~Becky

I'm not sure Don or McLisa are on-line at the moment, so I'll post (they can
yell at me off-list ;-) haha)

There's a Klez virus going around that not only sends itself to addresses from
an infected computer (address book or e-mails), but uses one of those "stolen"
e-mail addies to forge who it is from. So, even if you recognize the sender's
name, that probably is NOT who it is coming from. There's been cases, and I've
had this happen, where it looked like someone got an infected e-mail from
themselves!

Please, everyone get a virus scanner and KEEP IT UPDATED! That's the best
defense. This virus is making its way around other on-line communities I
participate in and is rather nasty.

Could you imagine LaCroix's wrath if his computer was ever infected with a
virus! Hmmm... "My computer is MUCH too new and powerful to get a virus." He
could probably clean up his files by just glaring at it threateningly.<g>

Screed would avoid viruses like the plague, I think. He's been there, done that,
and it gave 'im indy-gestation!
