Anybody remember how it got started?

Back in the day (or would that be night?), think it started with a story/post
by Wicked Cousin Tippi.
'Wicked Cousin Tippi's Thong Throng' was a phrase tossed about quite a bit
around the time the series ended.
Remember she did something involving Uncle and mukluks, too.

This is to let everyone know that the Official Kickstart the Knight website

site. Most importantly, information about our two major current projects has
been added. For more information about our video project, see the Current
Projects section. For more information about our **vitally important** plan
in light of the recent great news from FK producer Nicholas Gray, click on
the banner that has been added on the main page and also the on Current

Well, SHOOT!!

Hello again, everybody, BTW <g>

I went to dub copies for 3 folks <waves and grins> of the Tracker Premiere,
with AP and GWD (<--in the last few minutes, but he does have a lead for a
number of episodes, **or so they say** <LOL>)........and I find out that my
**boyfriend** ::::::::::glares into the other room sternly::::::::::::::::
has gone and __LOST__ our tape of the premiere from Digital Cable.

I have episodes two and three of GWD and AP in Tracker (several copies, <
waves again>) in **excellent** condition, as well as AP in today's ep of
Relic Hunter "Vampire's Kiss" at SP (2 hour), easy to dub (YES, they are
really there, I checked them!!).

I am sitting here trying to dub off this kinda-fuzzy-but-still-watchable,
starts-at-EP-changes-to-SP copy that I "raffled off," and which *belongs to
somebody* <waves and grins some more>........and, well, it is just not
working out too swell <sigh>.

If some kind Soul would be kind enough to dub me the Tracker premiere, I am
happy to send tape replacement and postage costs, **OR** trade any or all of
the above for it, or Forever Knight (Canadian, including Bloopers) + Alum, or
Highlander (Euro, including Bloopers and shorts) + Alum, Buffy, Angel,
Witchblade, ROAR <waves and grins madly this time!!>, etc., etc., etc. For
one thing, I am doing Tracker for 3 other people on the Tracker and/or
Forever Knight and/or Highlander lists as I do my own (nope, not telling who
[whom?] they/you know who they/you are <LOL!!>). I was out of town when
Tracker premiered and have no idea what Mark has done with the Digital tape
he made :::::::::::glares into other room some more!!!!!::::::::::::

Merrie Gail (and <waving at McL, Don and both Debbies>), I hope this is
ok..........it is about Tracker <VBG>, after all, and I am about to go watch
the whole of AP in Relic Hunter and GWD and AP in today's (third) ep of
Tracker here. WOOHOO for that, at least!!

If you can help me (and those three other anonymous people <g>), please write
to me off list at:

Billie-Lee,

If you haven't had any offers yet, I could dub the Tracker premiere for you.
My copy is in SLP though, so it won't be as good as one of yours, but it is
eminently watchable.

Hope you feel better soon!

Eve.

Unless they have perfect recall, they are sure to forget the details of
whatever they've learned, or at least the memory would be hazy after
several decades, so IMO it would really not be difficult for them to
pick up the 'current' slang and modes of speech.

Um - *do* they have perfect recall? I seem to remember the idea got
discussed here a while back, but can't remember the details...

Lor (most definitely *without* perfect recall... <g>)

It was thought up at 12:28,
Preyed on McLisa's mind.
Now it wants to be written down,
To take final form,
To emerge from the internet
and its endless, forever byte.

FORKNI-L RULES

1. No flames on list. FLAMERS MAY BE SET NOPOST. THE NOPOST MAY BE PERMANENT.

2. Please don't quote more than four lines of a previous post in
replying. If you have more than one point to answer, then you may
quote the relevant four lines for that point also.

3. Limit sigs to 6 lines. This includes all information, decoration
quotations and blank lines. Your name and address count as part of
the six. If you sign your name on a separate line above the body of
text, your name and the blank line or lines between count as part of
the six line limit. If you have one of those services that insists on
putting an advertising tag on the end of posts, don't worry. We
realize you can't control that and it doesn't count as part of your
sig.

4. Please don't send to the whole list when you are only talking to
the person who wrote the post you are answering.

5. Advertising on list is on a case by case basis. Please consult the
listowners, Lisa McDavid, <mclisa@m.......> or Don Fasig,
<Argent@e.......f> or permission.

6. This list is for the discussion of Forever Knight. Cast, crew,
staff and producers in connection with what they're doing now or have
done in the past are ok. So are list members' FK- fannish activities
and arrangements to meet. Cons should only be announced on Forkni-l
if someone from the show is appearing, or if you're going to be
there. Non-FK vampires, or vampires in general, are _NOT_ ok.
Vampyres@t....... does that. McLisa can tell you how to
subscribe. . 7. Off-topic posts are _NOT_ allowed, no matter what
they are about or how urgent the warning may appear. If you have an
off-topic post which you think should appear on the list, ask one of
the owners for permission.

8. The private lives of the cast are not a discussion topic.
Occasionally one of the fan club presidents will make an
announcement, but other than that, we leave the cast their privacy.

9. Only fan club presidents or other designated spokespeople may make
announcements of future projects for FK cast, crew and staff, before
said projects have been released or written about in the media.

10. No role-playing on Forkni-l. This includes no character names as
pseudonyms or posing as a character.

11. Each subscriber is limited to five posts per day on Forkni-l.

It's because "blonde" for a woman with fair hair is an import from French,
like fiance (masculine) and fiancee (feminine.) Sometimes loan words retain
the grammatical gender distinction. English had already borrowed the
adjective which became "blond/e" in modern French in the Middle Ages. The
first borrowing changed with the rest of the English language's sound laws
so that the pronunciation became "blunt." At that point we lost the word
because it was indistinguishable from the adjective for "not sharp." That's
why the English surname "Blount" is pronounced "blunt."

Yes, but there's more than one kind of scream. <leer> I'm not a Nunkie's

This thread was back when you were still in SC, that

Hi! McLisa said that since I want to use this in fic, I can post it. I
heard a snippet of song on the radio and want to use it, but I don't know
who wrote it, what's it's called, or all the words. Anyone recognise it?

When the dream disolves I open up my eyes,
I realize that
Everything is endless seas.
Weightlessness is passing over me....
I feel so light
This is all I want to feel tonight.
I feel so light,
tonight and the rest of my who life.

                  Thanx! Megan
