What a great idea. I actually have children, but I also have three cats and a
puppy. McLisa, would it be okay if I forwarded this information to another
list I'm on? It's MiniSchnauzer@yahoogroups. I'm sure they'll not only get a
kick out of it, but will probably start sending money immediately. (I haven't
decided which group is loonier, the FK fans from the list, or the schnauzer
fans on the list. Of course, I'm caught either way.)
:-)

I'm actually the originator of the PN Elrod e-mail - or rather, she e-mailed it
to me with orders to "spread it around" so I'm sure that's fine...

Goes for everyone else, too!

Hi Y'all!

(posted with McLisa's permission...Thanks, Lisa!)

I have decided to start an FK Birthday list to keep track of and announce
birthdays of listmembers. I'm planning to make the birthday
announcements a little more interesting by including the names of people
and a few significant events from history that share your birthday.

If you would like to be included in the birthday announcements please
send the following to ME (eowyn3@j.......), not the list:

1.Your birthday! (no need to include the year as the years won't be
announced <G>)
2.The name you would like me to use (this can be your real name, made up
name or screen name...whatever you're comfortable with)
3. An e-mail address where you would like to receive your birthday
wishes.

This is strictly VOLUNTARY. If you send me your birthday and e-mail I
will assume you are giving me permission to announce it.

I'm planning to start announcing birthdays by November so let me hear
from everyone asap!

Hmmm.... any one of them is a tempting offer, let's be honest! But.... the
chance to go to all the places I want to go to, to read all the books I want
to read, to do all the needlework I want to stitch, to do all the other
things I'd like to do.... I'd have to choose immortality, despite the
possibility of being short, overweight, with poor vision and a lousy back,
for eternity!

Yup, that is how it is around here..........3 cats, one dog remaining <sigh>
a bunny a and 3-4 humans depending on if Justin is home.....

Yes, this sounds familar to me, too. (I may have even been on the list at
the time of such a discussion). And it is certainly the context that I've
come to accept for this scenario. The only difference to be noted with
regard to your statement is that at the time of the original airing of AMPH
(week of April 30th, 1995 per Mr. Happy's FK site) the actor that portrays
LaCroix on television (aka Nigel Bennett <G>) was 45 years old and hence,
the likely age of Lucius at his conversion. And I've always thought that
he looked that age, the age that he was, comfortably settled into his mid-40s.

Hmm.... I can just see it. A food packet that says, "A gift to the Afghan
children, from Rover. <g>

Since Bush has asked schools, etc. to help, another idea might be to call
the elementary school nearest you and ask if there's anything they're
doing, (a bake sale, car wash, etc.) where you might be able to come by and
buy something, and contribute in that way.
