okay, you are running out of time to get your permission slips in
before June 21 (Thursday).

If you intend to play as a Die-Hard/Independent send your permission
slip into Don at <phase3@g.......>.

Also, we have a list set up for the war at yahoo-groups:
Group name FkWar11_DieHard-Indie
Group home page http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FkWar11_DieHard-Indie
Group email FkWar11_DieHard-Indie@y.......

As no one really feels he or she is fully capable of being a full
time leader for this war, we are sharing the duties; so come join us
in a very democratic group.

Think, as a Die-Hard you can have free reign (and free admission) in
the FK Prop Museum!

Those of us who play primarily as GlowWorms (officially Independent;
unofficially GlowWorms, with our friends the Tequila Fiends) have been
totally swamped with Real Life. I'm swamped with real-life work, Pen's
nowhere to be found, and I haven't heard anything from TheLadyT, so I don't
know if she will be playing with the UF, or playing at all. The major
players among us who have officially played with NA have also been swamped:
MacHeather just started a new job and may have some apartment troubles;
LadySukh is apparently rather busy as well.

I'd send the Vampbear around looking for me (at some point in time, I
really want to do a War where the Vampbear "goes on a mission" through all
the faction areas, getting into the sorts of trouble that only a
stuffed-animal-who-thinks-he's-a-real-vampire can get into), but (a) I'm
not sure I'll have the time to write/beta even that much, (b) I haven't had
the time to check around to see if the DH/Indies will let me essentially
lurk as a player, and (c) I haven't had time to check around to see if any
of the other Warring TF/CGWs would be around/available often enough to be
written in as helping open/close the Glow on a daily basis.

That being said, the Glow is not one of those places that is open only for
the duration of the War -- in other words, it should be available as a
standard War venue. (Does this mean I'll have to shove a slip in somewhere
to keep a hand in behind the scenes? HELP!)

Theoretically, at least two TF/CGWs are in the area at all times...

Background information on the Glow is available on its site,

That's a new one, and thereby forbidden by War 11 rules.

Anne replied: Hi! Of course, you can lurk with the
Diehards. I'm too new of a one myself to know what
access you'd have to the goodies in the FK Museum as
an Lurking Independent Glow Worm (you'd have to ask
the Diehard vets, Laura and Don), but the group's
small enough this war for any input (even occasional)
on the Yahoo group to be welcome. If you don't play,
will the Fiendish Glow be closed? Say it isn't so.

Hello --

I'm looking for anyone out there who participated in the LAST war (#10) as a
member of the Ratpack.

As much as I would love to embarrass you publicly about your participation with
that faction <wg>, please e-mail me OFF LIST. I just have a quick question for
each of you.

Thanks,
Bonnie Kate

Great!

I probably wouldn't be worried with that... the "Glow" has generally been
more than enough to keep me busy <eg>...

I noticed... and will note for the record that the War Mistress's minimum
count of four active participants per faction really *is* the *bare*
minimum you need to run. (I've had two Wars' experience with the GlowWorms'
half-cobbled-together group to attest to that! Of course, both Wars we had
specific agendas to run with aside from the main plot twists, of which we
were to a large degree in the dark.)

>If you don't play, will the Fiendish Glow be closed? Say it isn't so.

It wouldn't be closed, but we might or might not have people available to
write it in. I know that a couple of the GlowWorms are Warring with other
factions, but I don't know what their participation level is (lurk, write,
read, discuss).

I am looking for the FK Logic e-mail I sent out a while back. I
thought I had saved it, but I didn't. I'd like to put it on my
website. If anyone has this, can you send it to me privately?

Thanks.

Subject: Survey of what you watch on TV - put FK on the board

Wanna tell people what YOU wanna watch?

I'm running a survey on what fans watch on television, how they interact
with other fans through the internet, etc. The results will affect what we
do in future in broadcast television, computer applications, and satellite TV.

No personal identity information will be requested - just a zip code. You
can submit an email address if you'd like to be part of a beta project, but
that information will be related only to that project and is voluntary.

If you're tired of being ignored by the broadcasters and the powers that
be, please take ten minutes and answer these survey questions. And please
feel free to pass this message along to other fannish mailing lists (but
only if you're a member - I'd hate for this to become a spam). The more
fans who participate, the more likely we are to persuade people in tall
buildings that we're watching something other than 'Friends" and "WWF
Wrestling."

http://www.geocities.com/susanmgarrett/survey.htm

If you have any questions about the survey, please contact via email - do
not post to the list.

This survey replaces a survey we tried in March that, due to technical
issues just didn't happen. The questions have been changed - whether to
protect the guilty or the innocent is not our problem.

Thanks!
