I'm not in Houston but I can tell y'all that most of the TKDs (Texas
Knight Dreamers) who live in Houston have checked in with the TKD list
and they're all high and dry and fine. I don't know about anyone else.

BTW, if you live in Texas and aren't on the TKD list, why aren't you?
Didn't know about it you say? Well, head to Yahoogroups and search for
Texas Knight Dreamers and it should come up. It's been a while since the
listmoms have advertised the list here so I'm doing it for them. <G> The
Texas Knight Dreamers list is for Texans, native, transplanted to other
parts of the world or Texas wannabes. We try to keep each other informed
of happenings in the world of Forever Knight and among ourselves. We've
had several get togethers that were a lot of fun and another get-together
for the near future is being planned right now. So come on and join in
the fun here in Texas!

"enamored of" instead of by? Just interested. And picky. (like I *never*
did anything of the ilk.) :)

I did a search on the word "enamored" on Google (that's how I test my
grammar all the time while writing stories, great way of making sure you
have the correct word if you see several other people use it over the
net), and I found all three combinations "enamored of", "enamored by" and
"enamored with". So you both are correct.

I'm in the greater Houston area in extreme NW Harris county.
Fortunately, we did not get any water in our house. We did lose phone
service for a short time on Sat and had some street flooding. I've
lived in the Houston area for about 14 years and I've never seen the
flooding this bad.

I work in downtown Houston and the work of pumping out some of the
underground parking areas and the tunnel system is still going on. I've
seen a figure of there having been around 67 million gallons of water in
these structures. The damage to the theater district and the medical
center was enormous. According to reports some 27,000 homes, 14,000
businesses and about 1,000 apartment complexes have suffered damage.
Current estimates of damage are $2.14 billion just for the city of
Houston and an additional $1 billion for the surrounding areas.

My brother is in SW Houston. The street they live on was a river, and
the water came up into their garage. His car, parked on the street,
was totalled. They live a few blocks from the medical complex. Their
cel phones quit working for a couple of days, but otherwise, those
near and dear to me are safe and (with the exception of my brother)
happy.

Sure, challenge a Cousin to act authoritatively :-)
In the past, there have been limits of 3 posts per *poster* per day. If it
were 3 per faction per day, Cerberus wouldn't need three heads to keep
track of things.

The Ratpack has this covered!! Yes, amazingly so, that groups is *organized*!!
I think that must mean that hell has frozen over, or Nick has stopped angsting,
or Nat got a date, or LaCroix went for a skip in the park, or Vachon got a crew
cut, or Schanke's turned vegetarian, or Janette bought yellow gingham curtains
for the Raven, or ....

The war posts will be archived here -- http://www.ScreedWasHere.com/ratpack/ --
just click the link that says WAR XI.

The "Call To Arms" and important war dates/deadlines are already here. I hope
people will find this website helpful.

As long as no one is expecting HTML'd pages with beautiful, unique, hand-drawn
border graphics and full-color illustrations of all the folks involved in each
scene, I think the Ratpack can handle it.

After all, it's only a matter of being organized and isn't that what the Ratpack
is most known for?! Well, that and it's love of fine French Camembert!

The war limit has always been 3 posts per person rather than per faction.
This is one reason we sometimes get the list locked when our disk at PSU
jams. Then we have to wait for the postmaster at PSU to unjam it.

Wars _are_ high volume. That's why we have limits.

I'm confused. Is the limit for War XI going to be 3 posts per day per
person or 3 posts per day per faction?

Bring 'em back alive!
