What a great idea, Emily, I love that magnetic poetry thing :>)

Or LaCroix going to the beer fridge & opening it only to find it
overflowing with tribbles. Imagine Divia's reaction to her plans being
foiled by a bunch of tribbles :-)

Hi Everyone:

On Barbara's points:

1.) I'd love to see the look on Nick's face at
his room full of pets(not to mention Nat and/or
Schanke....) :)

2.) LC vs. Tribbles: I would love to see the
frown form on LC's face as he has a Klingon type
reaction to the adorable pests...

3.) Divia's plans foiled: Is this where Mr.
Spock walks in and informs her of how illogical
it is for a 2000 year old woman to act as she
does?

And would you want to be around to see her
response???? <Heh...heh...heh...> What's faster,
Divia's fangs or Spock's grip?

Thanks

David

Divia's fangs. Though she'll regret it once she tastes his copper-based
blood! <g>
Divia searching desperately for the vampiric version of Pepto Bismo.

o LaCroix turning to speak into his microphone only to find himself kissing
a tribble.
o Nick seeding Natalies refrigerator and cupboards so they will eat up all
her protein shake ingrediants.
o Schanke staring at his tribble infested king-sized with everything pizza
box before Nick has to force him to put his gun away. "No--Schanke!"
o Vachon wondering where all of his shampoo has been disappearing too.
(sound of fluffy-do'd tribbles snickering in background)
o Urs keeping Divia at bay by lobbing tribbles at her...
o Tribbles making prank calls to the NightCrawler show. (sqeek, squeek?
[translation: Do you have Prince Albert in a can?] Lacroix: "Who *is*
this?"

And I end this with the endearing vision of Nick, redolent on his couch as
he watches his tv with some 300 warm and fuzzy tribbles, surrounded at last
by unquestioning love and devotion that even his most angsting ways cannot
eclipse.

Eat yer heart out, Nat.

Okay, I've wondered about this for years, and I can't stand it anymore.
How does everyone else pronounce the word "LaCroixian?"

I tend to favor a hard 'x' sound, and not dropping the 'r'.
"la-krahks-see-yen."

I figure I can get away with this because I look at the word 'quixotic,'
and well, there you go.
Plus, you get that nice 'croc' sound in there. Seems
appropriate, somehow. :-)

Pondering the oddest things,

Actually, population pressure would come into play rather quickly and
they'd either die of starvation, light exposure, or staking each other to
death (or humans spacing them?).

Would a human brought across by a vampiric tribble be a tribble carouche, then?
And what about the glommers? (From the TREK animated series -- these are
genetically-engineered Klingon predators.)

Not to mention, if a vampiric tribble were to bite a Klingon in
self-defense... would the resulting vampiric Klingon be any different
(except for photosensitivity) than any other Klingon?

I think I'd go more for

"La KWAH zee in" in English

something like "La KR'WAH ssyaah(n)" in French (I can't spell it out
properly in plain text): the uvular "r" (R') here, plus the "s" is
extremely sibilant, a very short "i" or "y" sound, the "aah" like textbook
American English "short 'a'", and the nasalized "n"...

Though to be honest, I think there's a combining form I'm forgetting here
at 2AM...

I say "La-Kwah-ian" or "La-Kraw-ian".

Which I always pronounce "key-oh-tic"...am I wrong? Is there a speech
