Molly - I'm not sure if it's me being a bad girl, or you setting me a bad
example - but the one that instantly sprang to mind for Nick was downright
obscene!! (And if anyone - um, anyone over the age of 18 years, that is! -
wants to know what it was, email me off-list....)

However, the obvious one for Lucien would be 'Lucy', and possibly a very
mocking 'Lucy Laker' for the blatantly upper-class Lucien LaCroix - would
doubtless soon afterwards enjoy inflicting retribution on the little
so-and-so in some nearby convenient dark alley...

Nick would be Nicky - it's a basic rule of thumb with East Enders that all
names end in 'ee' whenever viable... So maybe 'Tricky Nicky', or
'Nighty-Night', or even 'Nicky Nightdress' (rude nicknames are very
popular - and some are even proud to have one!).

Hmm... I could see some fun fanfic from the above names, set somewhere in
London's East End, somewhere in the 19th or early 20th century.... Any
takers?

I loved this. I am taking an MVS JCL/Easytrieve Plus class at work
and this actually made sense to me.
Nigel's appearance on Jules Verne was really fun last night. I did not
recognize him at first but the minute I heard his voice I knew it was him.
It looked to me like he let them shave his head. Either that or it was
the best scull cap I have ever seen. The tatoos were really cool, I bet it
took hours to draw all those symbols on him. And for those fans who
have Lucius Lust they showed his bare (except for the tatoos) chest!

Thanks! I knew there were some programmers on the list, but didn't think there
were that many. Maybe I should stay up late more often. I get my best ideas
when I can't sleep.

When I saw him at AggieCon, shortly after he'd finished filming these eps,
his hair was just starting to grow back in. Not only did they shave his
head, they also shaved his arms and upper torso. He said that it itched
like mad when it grew back.

Actually, according to NB, they put a sort of pattern on him and then
spray painted the 'tattoos.'

We saw him just before, at MarFest; he was completely bald for the role...
one of the photos I took, he looked like a Nosferatu with his mouth closed...

IIRC, they created a sort of "body mask" for it, and he needed to be
completely hairless for the tattoos to look consistent from day to day.

Although I didn't much care for the ep itself, I thought Nigel was excellent
in this (what isn't he excellent in? <G>)! Very un-LC-like...it was actually
a bit disconcerting to see his character reacting with fear, probably because
I'm used to the characters he plays being very much in charge. As much as I
love the character LC, it was neat to see this. What I was *really*
disappointed about was that his character was killed off 20 minutes into the
ep, after probably about 5 minutes of screen time! What were the producers
thinking?!! They get a great actor like Nigel, torture him (the shaving
thing <G>), and then give him only very brief screen time. I realize his
character was an integral part of the show, but it would've been nice if
they'd kept him around a while.

After wading through a slew of e-mail from another FK list this weekend
containing lots of flames and OT material (the flames were a lot worse than
the OT material), I have to say I am very grateful to be on FORKNI-L. I can't
see myself unsubbing from it ever unless e-mail becomes obsolete. Sending a
round of applause to the ListMommy & ListGardener, who are doing their jobs
very well!

Oh, there's been moments here, but McLisa quickly nips it in the bud and
reminds everyone who is the listmommy, something I've used as an example on
lists I run. I'm on lists and board for other activities, and I often wish
that those list/board owners were FK fans so I could direct them here to see
an example of why flames should not be allowed. And OT posts are allowed on
many other FK lists, btw, but on a list this large and active, I join the
applause for McLisa for the wise rules here!

It wasn't so much the OT posts as the fact that some people roasted the poor
newbie alive for sending it. Anyway, I'm glad everyone is so polite here.

Seconding the round of applause. I'm on the same list as Emily, and was sad
to see the flames.

FORKNI-L RULES

1. No flames on list. FLAMERS MAY BE SET NOPOST. THE NOPOST
MAY BE PERMANENT.

2. Please don't quote more than four lines of a previous post in replying.
If you have more than one point to answer, then you may quote the
relevant four lines for that point also.

3. Limit sigs to 6 lines. This includes all information, decoration
quotations and blank lines. Your name and address count as part of
the six. If you sign your name on a separate line above the body of text,
your name and the blank line or lines between count as part of the six
line limit. If you have one of those services that insists on putting an
advertising tag on the end of posts, don't worry. We realize you can't
control that and it doesn't count as part of your sig.

4. Please don't send to the whole list when you are only talking to the
person who wrote the post you are answering.

5. Advertising on list is on a case by case basis. Please consult the
listowners, Lisa McDavid, <mclisa@m.......> or Don Fasig,
<Argent@e.......> for permission.

6. This list is for the discussion of Forever Knight. Cast, crew, staff and
producers in connection with what they're doing now or have done in the
past are ok. Vampires in general are _NOT_ ok except in relation to
Forever Knight.

7. Off-topic posts are not allowed, no matter what they are about or how
urgent the warning may appear. If you have an off-topic post which you
think should appear on the list, ask one of the owners for permission.

8. The private lives of the cast are not a discussion topic. Occasionally
one of the fan club presidents will make an announcement, but other
than that, we leave the cast their privacy.

9. Con announcements must come from con officials or a designated
liaison and must be kept brief. Cons are only announced on list if there
is a connection to FK.

10. Only fan club presidents or other designated spokespeople may
make announcements of future projects for FK cast, crew and staff,
before said projects have been released or written about in the media.

11. No role-playing on Forkni-l. This includes no character names as
pseudonyms or posing as a character.

12. Each subscriber is limited to five posts per day on Forkni-l.

Subject: War: Temporary Nunkies Anonymous List

The Nunkies Anonymous faction list has been retired for over a year -
some former members have lost touch, and since then newbies have arrived that
might be interested in the group.

To play catch up, a Nunkies Anonymous list has been started on YahooGroups
that will be active from now until the end of War 11.

The purpose of this list is not to drool over LaCroix so much as it
is for members to get to know each other better before War 11 planning
officially starts a couple months from now. This means that all posts do not
have to be on an FK topic. You can talk about your hobbies, fears, job and
obsessions, even if they aren't concerned with LaCroix! :D

At this point, the list is open to everyone interested in the war. Joining does
not mean that you plan to play with the Nunkies Anonymous faction come wartime.
Once the real war planning actually gets underway, we will sort out the addicts
from the other factions' infidels. Until then, we'd just like to introduce
ourselves and hang out by the Sacred Cold Pond. Upon subscription, you should
receive a Get To Know You Questionnaire. Come Bond With Us!

To join, go to:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NunkiesAnonymous/join

Questions? Confusion? Ask me!

Please forward this invite along to any potentially interested FK lists. Thanks.

Be careful there Bonnie!
I seem to recall reading in an old War where a Cousinly type fiendishly took
advantage of such a questionaire done by another faction.
Do you *really* want your fears known to SpYs?

Friendly warning in advance. You may want to screen applicants! For
instance...my name popping up on your subscription list would be highly
