What I meant was that it is an episode that should be watched. Obviously, not
immediately. But it is one that should be seen eventually.

Hi,
I haven't written for ages. However, I have a question maybe someone can help
me with. See, I have a lot of FK material. Tapes, pictures, transcripts and
stories, that I wanted to put on ebay. Does anyone know the process of
placing something on auction?
Thanx,
Respectfully,

I think Emma's right. Never show Last Knight to a new fan before they
see the rest of the show. I nearly fell out of my bed when I tuned into
the last 20 minutes one morning. Thats when i was driven to the
computer and internet to find out "Whats up with that!" I didcovered a
whole living world of FK still thriving. It was a life line....

FORKNI-L RULES

1. No flames on list. FLAMERS MAY BE SET NOPOST. THE NOPOST
MAY BE PERMANENT.

2. Please don't quote more than four lines of a previous post in replying.
If you have more than one point to answer, then you may quote the
relevant four lines for that point also.

3. Limit sigs to 6 lines. This includes all information, decoration
quotations and blank lines. Your name and address count as part of
the six. If you sign your name on a separate line above the body of text,
your name and the blank line or lines between count as part of the six
line limit. If you have one of those services that insists on putting an
advertising tag on the end of posts, don't worry. We realize you can't
control that and it doesn't count as part of your sig.

4. Please don't send to the whole list when you are only talking to the
person who wrote the post you are answering.

5. Advertising on list is on a case by case basis. Please consult the
listowners, Lisa McDavid, <mclisa@m.......> or Don Fasig,
<Argent@e.......> for permission.

6. This list is for the discussion of Forever Knight. Cast, crew, staff and
producers in connection with what they're doing now or have done in the
past are ok. Vampires in general are _NOT_ ok except in relation to
Forever Knight.

7. Off-topic posts are not allowed, no matter what they are about or how
urgent the warning may appear. If you have an off-topic post which you
think should appear on the list, ask one of the owners for permission.

8. The private lives of the cast are not a discussion topic. Occasionally
one of the fan club presidents will make an announcement, but other
than that, we leave the cast their privacy.

9. Con announcements must come from con officials or a designated
liaison and must be kept brief. Cons are only announced on list if there
is a connection to FK.

10. Only fan club presidents or other designated spokespeople may
make announcements of future projects for FK cast, crew and staff,
before said projects have been released or written about in the media.

11. No role-playing on Forkni-l. This includes no character names as
pseudonyms or posing as a character.

12. Each subscriber is limited to five posts per day on Forkni-l.

Subject: Selling on Ebay

Selling tapes on Ebay of anything taped off the air is not a good idea
because it is a violation of copyright and will probably bring Sony's legal
department down on your head. This might also be true of transcripts,
although I'm not sure here.

Technically Sony could take a seller to court about merely duping tapes for
the cost of a blank cassette and postage. They haven't so far, but it's
possible.

Btw, I can't prove it, but it wouldn't surprise me at all to learn that
someone at Sony monitors this list.

Well, in that (maybe) case... <g>

Hey, Sony!!!
Get yer britches in gear and put out season DVDs! Kyer will do anything
short of theft to purchase even the episodes she *didn't* care for in order
to get a complete set of her favorite vamp! Yes! That's right! Kyer will
go without *FOOD* (this is like Nick going without angst, btw) in order to
get FK!

Anyway, thanks for all your suggestions! I'm working on a list of tapes to

Ah. I do hope it wasn't the very first ep he saw. But it was a good
performance.

Also make sure he knows how to find Mel's fanfic site. After the show was
canceled, it was the only way I got to satisfy my craving for FK for quite a
while. I think it was the first FK web site I discovered, and what a
wonderful experience to find that other people enjoy the show as much as I
do!

I have to add one more episode to the list -- Father's Day. It's a good
example of the dynamic between Nick and Lacroix even if they aren't willing
to admit it.

I usually use these five eps to "bring people across":

Only The Lonely -- Father's Day -- Be My Valentine -- A More Permenant
Hell -- Partners of the Month

Maybe my choices explain when 90% of the people I've brought across turn out
to be Cousins?

Then I'd say FEVER is the one! It is the episode I use to hook potential fans
to the show, and it has never failed.

When FK was originally airing in season 3, I happened to be in a script
writing course and dissected and examined FEVER for the class. The
instructor, a professional script writer, was amazed at the quality of this
episode.

McLisa here, answering and maybe starting the first
rumblings of war.

Any answers to this on either list should be under the
war topic. That means you need to type war: at the
beginning of the subject line. The colon is vital.
Without it, the listserv doesn't know that the word
war is a topic and everyone will get the post.

Ok, first of all, I have to come clean. When my hard
drive crashed after my move, I lost all my
correspondence with possible warmasters/mistresses.

Second, I'm wondering whether it would be a better
idea to run this war on the Fkfic-l@e....... that
Carla Martinek and I have been cybersquatting. It's
going to have to be either that or no non-wars posts
for the duration of the war. We have to consider
available disk space at PSU.

Third, is this a good time to be planning a war?
Before anyone panics, nothing will happen before a
time is set and a duration established.

Fourth, for those who are new to this, a war on
Fkfic-l is _not_ what wargamers mean by the word. It
is more of an online party that is supposed to get out
of hand.

Finally, am I the only one who misses the spontaneity
of the past? I particularly mean the rule about
advance notices of attacks and doing them by factions
instead of individually.

This would take a lot of self-discipline and the
understanding that when you send in a permission form
you agree to be attacked.

So, let's get the ball rolling.

McLisa, who must be nuts or else that wasn't plain
water in her lunch box ... :)

I don't think the actress who played Divia had changed that much between
"A More Permanent Hell" and "Ashes to Ashes". In fact, if no one had mentioned
on the list how much taller she was, I might have gone for years without
noticing, even though LC says (in a sort of inside joke), "If I didn't know
you so well, I'd say you'd grown taller." To get some idea of how much
Illya Woloshyn changed, see the 1993 made-for-television movie "Hush Little

The only problem with that is people AIM the heck out of me as it is, so I sure
don't want to download yet another chat program just for the war. I'd end up
keeping it off at all times just to have the time to coordinate the Ratpack and
participate myself! I much prefer e-mails.

I haven't had that much problems with FK fans (so don't worry that I'm talking
about any of you), but some people just don't understand "I DON'T HAVE TIME TO
CHAT RIGHT NOW" and insist on IMing me every time I log on for the entire time
I'm on! I've had to block people. I have a life outside of FK and Wars, believe
it or not<g>

Now, if I'm working on a specific plan with someone, I don't mind chatting, but
would prefer AIM since I have that. And, please, don't every hesitate to IM me
as I do enjoy it, just keep in mind I don't always have time to chat.
