Well, on just general terms, I'd say Dark Knight, Dark Knight: The Second
Chapter, Dance By the Light of the Moon (for the fb of Janette seducing
a mortal Nick), The Fix (Ger's best performance imo), and A More Permanent
Hell (where the characters shine). If you think your friend might like the
new third season characters, add Black Buddha 1 & 2 and Fever.

Not to mention that it was easier to acknowledge that Kathryn Long had grown
taller & disguise any other changes than it would have been to deal with a
deeper vice or the growth of a beard and a denser bone structure - all of
which might have happened to the actor who played Daniel depending on how
old he was when he first did the part.

Dark Knight, Last Act, Killer Instinct, I Will Repay, A Fate Worse than
Death, Crazy Love. And Stranger than Fiction, because it gives a wonderful
view of the characters and how much fun the show can be to watch :-)

Sorry this is so late, but my 3-hour alottment of computer time got
*severely* chomped on when *the family members* decided to go out this
afternoon. <gggrrrrrrrr!!!!!> (*Their* time is, of course, fully intact.)
<growl!>

Anyways...
You say this is a guy? I've gotten the impression from tv shows that most
guys are shy on romance and prefer action. Since I tend to agree with guys
on this predilection maybe my picks will hit the mark? Or not.

Now, I personally cringe everytime I see those stupid flashlights being
flashed in my hero's eyes just when he's about to nab a crook! (Who *was*
that, btw? A crazed Hunter? Some nefarious bad guy trying to help out his
buddies? Oy!) So I would be wary of the early first season shows lest he
get turned off by the tackiness of the (and I use the term loosely)
'special' effects. (Yes, I adore FK, but thank God I discovered the show
late in the first season.)

Despite the romance, Only The Lonely does show how Nat meets Nick. Show
this first.
The Fix is a must not only for the spectacular performances but for that
great Italian restaurant scene. LOL! Same for A More Permanent Hell---great
acting and a neat storyline. I'm tempted to throw in Fever for the same
reason, but only if you explain why there's a Tracy instead of a
Schanke--and that would spoil Black Buddah. Unless you show Black Buddah
first.

After this you can ask which characters he felt the most interested in.
Tracy? Hit him with the Tracy stories.
Lacroix? Ashes to Ashes and (weirdly enough) Curioser & Curioser. The last
has that Twilight Zone draw, but will not make much sense if shown til he
has a view basic relationships down pat to undestand *why* Nick looks so
confused by an out-of-character world.

Oooh. This is getting long.
The heck with it!
Strap the sucker down in your Lounger and force feed him ep by ep! That's
right---teleWhammy him! <veg!> Kyer's gotta go.

Subject: Have You Seen This Story?

Hi, Listees:

If you're on FKFANFIC-L, could you tell me please if my adult vignette, "A
Moonlight Rendezvous" dropped? I did send it to the list last week but haven't
seen it myself.

Just wondering,

Hi B.Stone,

<<I won't argue about the characterization being a bit
strained>>

It did feel a bit odd hearing Nick tell LaCroix-very
much like a son going to his father-"I'm in trouble",
his voice betraying his desperation and hopelessness.
He'd gone to LaCroix once before like this, when he
was possessed. It was interesting though: maybe all
the other times Nick had to relocate began like this.
We never saw what circumstances came about preceeding
Nick's having to change identities, and now we get a
glimpse-maybe it was always like this, one huge jam
that Nick didn't see coming because he hadn't thought
things through. LaCroix did tell Nick he'd seen him
leave looser ends. Who knows how many times Nick stood
there at his wits end, surrounded by corpses, asking
LaCroix if he had any ideas. Picturing LaCroix rubbing
his eyes, thinking "here we go again."

Am I the only one who thinks that showing Last Knight to a potential
new fan is a huge mistake? I know some people like it, but let 'em
see the other 69 episodes first.
